Evidence-based information about rare developmental disabilities will be presented and discussed, including epidemiology, etiology, diagnoses, risk factors, prevention, treatment, systems of care, and philosophical, ethical, and legal issues. This course involves service learning via the completion of volunteer hours in the local community providing services for people with disabilities.
