Coverage proposal
Hello! Welcome to this brand new project. ^^
To start us off, here is my proposal about what pages will be needed under this project.
Major pages:
- Sailor Moon - Main page, describing Sailor Moon in general.
- Article for each anime series/season
- Anime episode list, a job currently filled by Sailor Moon media and release information
- Manga article
- Act list?
- Musicals article
- Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon article
- Video games article
- An article for each movie: The R movie, the S movie, and the SuperS movie.
- Sailor Moon (English version)
Smaller pages:
- Sailor Senshi - What senshi are, why we keep using this word, groups of senshi, info about Sailor Crystals and Sailor War, Naoko's words, etc.
- Locations in Sailor Moon - The schools, shrine, arcade, Kinmoku, etc.
- Names in Sailor Moon - For discussion of the meanings behind characters' names
*Symbolism in Sailor Moon? - For mythology, geology, other inspirations Nevermind, combine this with the above
- Silver Millennium - Known information about the past
- Crystal Tokyo - Known information about the future
And then, of course, character bios and some form of episode list. I'll address those below. This is, of course, preliminary--please make comments and ask questions! :) --Masamage 03:35, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
More articles:
- Each individual anime series/season
- Each anime special (Ami-chan no Hatsukoi, and that one thing with the garlic-themed group attack...)
And a question: are we including cast and crew in our coverage? I mean, does Naoko Takeuchi get a talk-page-template? Does Kunihiko Ikuhara? Does Myū Azama? What's the limit? --Masamage 07:27, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe we can take some clues from Project WikiMoon. -- Denelson83 07:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. ^_^ Answer: yes. --Masamage 08:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Aliases
Should we be listing things like 'Sailor Venus' and 'Super Sailor Venus' as Aliases in the infobox? I'm thinking no, because the name of the infobox is already Sailor Venus, and her Super form isn't a seperate alias at all. The Super forms need to be covered somewhere else. Anyway, a few of the alias fields are getting reeeally choked, and this would help. --Masamage 18:12, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I vote no because of the inevitable fighting that will happen for the last form of the Sailors in Stars manga. >.<;; It wouldn't be pretty. (Hint: it has no official name... yes, I know the sailor suit is different, but it has no official name) And people can figure it out from context and it might be construed as a spoiler.--Hitsuji Kinno 02:38, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, since it's been more than a week with no objection, I'm going to make this happen tomorrow, Saturday the 11th. I'll make a note in all the 'Other forms' sections, too, explaining their Super and Final forms. --Masamage 19:45, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Gonna start working on that now. I'll make a note under 'Current discussions' when I'm done. --Masamage 21:56, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Anime/ Manga comparison section
Rozen_Maiden has a very cool section on this, comparing major differences between the two. I know the list for SM would be long, but as I said notable. I also like the section they did on art styles... so would this work for SM and would it be cool enough to do? At least the art styles might be a good tag-on, not the main page of course, but find a good place to put it.... --Hitsuji Kinno 02:38, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
The Mess that is Attacks
The whole of the attacks on the pages needs work. There are several issues at play:
- What classifies as a Magic Power?
- What classifies a Magic attack?
- How do we reference these attacks?
- How to deal with the headings and sub-headings underneath the attacks
- How to list the attacks themselves.
- Related subject: Items list.
There have been little spats and fights over it. When I was doing edits I left this alone (except on the Hotaru footnote). This is a complex issue so I split the issues up... and I open it up for long and detailed discussion without time limit because this is surely going to take a while to figure out. I think it's best if we all agree on this issue since it's long and involved rather than just give it a time limit and let it go...
Issue # 1 So does Chibiusa using the space time key count as a Magic power? Technically the magic doesn't come from her. However, it does involve magic and apparently her own sense of control. Does Dousing, psychic powers, etc mentioned once count? We need a solid definition.
Issue #2 This by far is the most tricky, because while the previous can be used by the domestic or civilian form of the Senshi this one can't. So what activities the Senshi does should be up for debate.
There are tons of one-time attacks that show up in the manga that "count", but there are ones without words that just happen when the Senshi is under stress (Super Sonic waves), ones that appear one time, ones that are pure defensive maneuvers (shields), ones that somehow count as attacks (like the rose throw) and ones that aren't popularly recognized. This would be the biggest source of debate on how to classify it.
Here is an "attack" I would classify as defensive, one timer without words used. It echos something like the red rose throw that is used by Tuxedo Mask. But it is only used once. The hairpins apparently show up back in the next chapter... and are apparently very sharp (I couldn't do that myself) However, this is not an attack that's "Popularly recognized, and is it even an attack? http://sailormoon.takeuchi-naoko.com/info/magic/attacks/hairpinattack.jpg
What about the attacks that never got names too. Like the rose throw, how do we list those versus those with words. Then there are the attacks with Japanese kanji underneath the furigana, while it's read like the furigana, is the kanji worth listing like the Japanese names even if it's not spoken? Some of the attacks also never were properly named in the manga, but were given a different name in the anime, in some cases, there was a different name for each! (For example the tiara throwing that Sailor Moon does) also the formation of the attack and behavior varies sometimes...
I will say that the first rule I would say is that it has to be used in transformed state. I doubt this will be under dispute--anything else has to be put up. Please add rules to this so we can discuss it in more detail.
Note: I'm working on scanning them all in, so if one needs to be added to the template then I might have it.
Referencing of attacks Truly a pain--I can do it, since I have all of them down to page number in the original manga and anime, as well as dub, but it's not easy. Should we cite an external source, or cite an internal source or cite our own wikipedia project? There are three options there. And it's not easy... I'd rather to have primary sources rather than secondary, but that means long lists of volumes, episode numbers, etc which can look excessive on the page. If we don't reference them then it might lose credibility (I've also noticed that while redoing the pages that sometimes you add more info and find new info while looking up references...)
Headings
Compare Usagi to Hotaru to Ami.. they have all different forms, if we have a template it should be the same across the board. So what should the divisions be, will there be exceptions, and if so under what justifications?
Listing the attacks As I said, Kanji, furigana and basic translation puns, disputes, etc make this tricky. How to handle controversy as well when two of the same are acceptable or under heavy dispute.
Items Should the name of the item used be listed, and should the items be added to the individual pages, or kept to a separate page? And what counts as an "item" and then rinse and repeat of the attack issues. (I have the items list too... and can cite directly to cut the middle man if need be.).
Transformations should be pretty straight forward once Attacks and magic is delegated--no transformation was without words even though there was one goof in the manga with one it shouldn't be an issue.
So this should be sorted out... I'll try to finish the referencing for the soldiers. Tuxedo Mask is going to be trickier because the references are kind of scattered. I'm not sure though if I should add anime references for when it agrees with the manga... (using the wikipedia episode style with ref tags...).
- I would like to make a note. Unlike the other senshi, Sailor Moon Uses each move mainly in only one arc. (Chibi-moon is pretty much the same way) Thats why hers is seperated. The Inner senshi use the same attacks until they get new forms. And the outer senshi only have one or two attacks (Saturn being the exception but she rarely appears)Lego3400: The Sage of Time 14:29, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- So no input? If I don't get a reply as to any of these specific items and a proposal, I'll put up one next week. the 25th. If no one objects by the middle of December or makes a comment of any sort, positive or negative, I'll set a new date for the proposal to pass on the assumption no one really cares. --Hitsuji Kinno 21:34, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I care, and have some good ideas, but they'll take forever to write out and school is going into Insanity Mode right now. I'll be more helpful in December. ^^;; --Masamage 23:28, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Citations
Alright, then I'll propose a way for citation of attacks, for a temporary basis until we figure things out. I think is pressing because we need a way to do this for the Ami Mizuno Article so we can selfishly get it up to GA.
Attacks should be cited from an original source with a reference tag... so we'll do it this way: Attack name - description of attack here. [ref] [ref]put in manga citation here, put the episode number here, then any explanations about puns, notes etc here.[/ref]
It's going to look sloppy for a while, but this is a good temporary solution until we can rack our brains on a better system. Pun notes, etc shouldn't go right after the attack, so they should be cited. We can choose to cite them in a footnote separately, but putting them together for now might be more efficient. Live Action should also be cited as well with episode number... are we planning on doing episode summaries for those too? XP As a temporary solution, I suggest citing Shingetsu for the episode summaries to prove they exist until the project gets there, then we can change it over. Let's get our very first GA! Ne? Ne?!! (then throw a party!) BTW, if anyone is stuck on the page numbers and acts for the attacks... ^^;; I have them. Yes, I was a nut, and yes I used to count frames too.... Muhaha! Someone deleted that info before, now look how useful it is *runs away* --Hitsuji Kinno 02:48, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- If you're talking about all the citation stuff you put up, it's still just here - and it's linked to on the main WP:SM page, under "Resources". - Malkinann 04:43, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Items Page
The Items Page is now as complete as it can be without leaving Wikipedia for information. After the Info is expanded and it is cleaned up as well has haveing some images of Some items, We can launch it.Lego3400: The Sage of Time 21:13, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Very good work on that. :D I must mention, though, that I think there was some disagreement over whether the list is necessary, and examples of similar articles that have been deleted. Now would be a good time for the people who voiced those concerns to consolidate them here, so we can avoid a similar fate.
- Ready set go! --Masamage 04:53, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- You can guess My vote. I don't Want all my hard working going down the Tubes! If we do end up not using, Tell me so i can Archive it under my UserName... But lets not let that happen! Lego3400: The Sage of Time 19:44, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Pictures
I found these Pictures of the Senshi drawn Manga Style. The first is them Transformed the second is them in their princess forms... We don't have many manga style image. Also i found this image of early disgins for the senshi. Also i found this Image The cats as Humans...

I know we need stuff like this... I just can't decide where we should put them... This site is full of this kid of stuffLego3400: The Sage of Time 07:05, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Quick replies: The first one is very pretty, but I don't think we have any justification for using it. The second already exists at Image:SenshiPrincesses.jpg. The third would be an excellent addition to the Sailor Moon (manga) article; maybe we should start a discussion over there about how to use it? The fourth image doesn't seem like the best way to show the cat family's human forms, since there's no article about all of them together... But Luna's article has an image of her human form, and I don't see why the others shouldn't have theirs. --Masamage 08:05, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Their aren't many images of Artemis or Diana Solo In their human forms... Also, Masamage, Any Change we can Bring back that Page on the Princesses? Lego3400: The Sage of Time 19:42, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- There are some, though. :)
- And no, the page on the Princesses was judged unnecessary (I think rightly so). Most of the information that was on it is in the Senshi bios now, which is much more intuitive. I have been mulling over a mention of them in the Silver Millennium article, though, and it seems like a good idea. --Masamage 23:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

This is a good idea, discuss the sources.. :) http://www.sweetusagi.com/moon/index.htm - good or dodgy? - Malkinann 07:57, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ehhh, I'm not quite what to say... It doesn't seem to have anything the previous one doesn't, and its missing alot of sections. We could probably do with out it. Lego3400: The Sage of Time 20:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Also It has some facts wrong: Like it says Kinnimosai (Starlights Planet) means Red or cinnmon (or something like that). Everything i've heard says it means Olive... Lego3400: The Sage of Time 20:42, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

- I wanted to check because in the character profiles, it gives some possible mythological references in the Senshi's attacks - like the reason why Mercury uses a harp in Aqua Rhapsody is because Mercury/Hermes invented the harp. I'm not sure that I've seen that anywhere else. - Malkinann 23:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ooh, good catch. Hermes is definitely said to have invented the lyre; we can cite the mythology itself for that. :) --Masamage 23:45, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- It's no coincidence. The god Saturn was a harvester and personified with a scythe, Jupiter's powers consisted of lightning, Venus was the goddess of love and beauty, the glyph of Mars is a shield and spear, although an arrow could also work and Uranus and Neptune were gods of the heavens and sea respectively. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 23:49, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yup~. And Pluto was the dark, lonely guardian of the underworld. --Masamage 23:57, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

- So how do you cite a mythology? This looks pretty good to me. Comments? http://web.uvic.ca/grs/bowman/myth/gods.html - Malkinann 00:14, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, good question. Might it be okay to just Wikilink over to the Hermes article? It's gonna have more internal citations than any external link we use, which seems like it'd make it more accurate. Also the mythology itself really isn't in our scope, so delegating it could be a really good idea. (Certainly Sailor Moon mythology pages are largely speculation and fancruft.) Any thoughts? --Masamage 00:20, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

So do we just note it as being "^Aqua Rhapsody may draw inspiration from when Hermes/Mercury invented the lyre"? That feels a little unsatisfactory, but if sweetusagi is dodgey, then I guess that's what we'll have to do. - Malkinann 00:33, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- I know her well enough to tell you a bit about the inns and outs of that site. She knows her SM information very, well, and very thoroughly. However, many of her opinions are not main stream opinions. While she knows SM very well, she's not really a true fan of the series--she doesn't really have a large passion for the series and doesn't think as highly of it as she used to. Therefore some of the things presented are kind of tainted a bit. She's good with new stuff, but as I said I wouldn't go to the site 100%. Anything we can back up without a third party site, I say we do. We should avoid third party sites unless we cannot back up the information otherwise--I don't mean cut our references in half, I mean for things like claim to mythology, we can do that ourselves, claims about the series should be stuck to series backing (episodes, acts, interviews and the like primary sources.) lore back it up with as much info without going to a third party site. Cutting down on fan websites will help out. Because even the best websites can have mistakes. There is nothing on her site that can't be found elsewhere. --Hitsuji Kinno 04:01, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- So for things like "^Aqua Rhapsody may draw inspiration from when Hermes/Mercury invented the lyre", we should cite an external, reasonably good mythology page? I mean, Hermes/Mercury invented the lyre. We can source that easily, if we need to. But how can we then claim that it's connected to Aqua Rhapsody specifically, without it getting too much into original research? (or am I just being pedantic?) Or is it even fancrufty to note such things? I dunno. - Malkinann 06:53, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think a simple way to mention it without leaning on it too hard would be in a discussion of the harp itself, if we give everyone an items section. "Though called a harp, this item is actually a lyre, an instrument associated with the Mercury of Roman myth." --Masamage 08:09, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- I believe it was in fact called a lyre in the manga, was it not? Was it ever called a harp?? -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 08:15, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- It actually introduces itself to her as the Mercury Harp. (Her full item list can be found here.) --Masamage 08:23, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

- It does talk. It says "I am Mercury Harp", to which Ami exclaims, "This item has its own will?!". It then says "Go on! Blow away the nightmare!" The next panel is "Mercury Aqua Rapsody!!", and Fish-eye is destroyed. Harp it is. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 18:02, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Sailor Moon Manga Summaries
I've started in on doing these with a very rough first template. >.<;; I need help though to do this. /Sailor_Moon_volume_01 It's not published yet... so don't be too harsh on me for it looking like crap. This is just a rough, rough version and to get the basic idea of it. I figure 18 volumes, 62 sections overall isn't that hard to maintain compared to the 200 that the anime side has to do. I'm debating making my own info box. >.<;; How could there be no infobox for manga? I need it to go forward and back like the anime, yet refer to a book with an established author, list the ISBN, have it say mangaka, etc... and have something for editors and assistants since they can vary... maybe I'll ask the Anime Wikiproject to agree on one. *doesn't like book template* --Hitsuji Kinno 08:42, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Citations
I'd like to cite the episodes themselves rather than Hitoshi Doi's summaries (his summaries aren't always accurate, as I recall). Anyone know how to format TV episode references? Xuanwu 09:13, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well... There does seem to be a {{Cite video}} template available... but most of the time we'd be working from a sub or something anyway. Maybe it's something that WP:ANIME should be looking at? - Malkinann 10:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- And then there's {{Cite episode}} and {{Cite visual}}. I'm confused. :P- Malkinann 10:54, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Sailor Moon Movies and WikiProject Films
I've added templates of theirs to the Movies' talk pages (yes I informed them of this) so hopefully they'll help us out with those Lego3400: The Sage of Time 00:00, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Omake
I would like to propose a new article called Sailor Moon side-stories, or something similar, so that we can cover things like Chibiusa's Picture Diaries and the Exam battles. Any thoughts on the subject? --Masamage 21:44, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
- Can't that be covered within the scope of the Manga Volume Summaries? --Hitsuji Kinno 00:54, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- You mean by putting them within their respective volumes? Hmm...that is certainly possible. And I guess each Picture Diary thing could have a link to the next, and so forth. --Masamage 01:04, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, so they would connect together, and then list within the article space which volumes of Shinzoubon correspond. I figured this was more efficient than doing all of the original tankoubon, then the shinzoubon, then the picture and exam battles... because of the inherent repetition that would happen. I did request a manga info box for a forward and back feature, but the AP people haven't replied yet. (anime one too.) However, there are Omake that can't be covered in manga volume article space, such as stickers, inserts into the nakayoshi, prizes that were given, etc, but then if we do an article on this we will look like fan freaks and may as well list various types of merchandise that was sold over the years of SM All links to stores banned, just to list what kind of merchandise is sold like chopsticks, Luna P, etc). There should be separate articles for the artbooks, but I want to iron out the manga volumes first. --Hitsuji Kinno 01:49, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- You mean by putting them within their respective volumes? Hmm...that is certainly possible. And I guess each Picture Diary thing could have a link to the next, and so forth. --Masamage 01:04, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- That sounds excellent. I like the artbook idea, too; I think Parallel Sailor Moon would go pretty well in a Materials Collection article. I'd recommend combining the first five Original Picture Collections, though, since all of them have the same general description/purpos/content. There's not a while lot of detail to separate out. --Masamage 01:53, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
New Stat
Intro Phrase
Idea! A new stat, when the Senshi introduce them selves they each (Well most) have their, speach for when sailor moon isn't there to give it. We can Call it Catchphrase or Introduction Phrase.
- Moon: In the name of The Moon, I will punish you.
- C-Moon: In the name of the Future Moon, I will punish you.
- Mars: In the name of Mars, I will chastise you.
- Venus: In the name of Love, I will punish you.
(Mercury and Jupiter have never said one as far as I know(They get left out of alot of things!) For the outer senshi it works a bit differnt.
- Uranus: Guided by a new era, Sailor Uranus acts with Elegance.
- Neptune: Guided by a new era, Sailor Neptune acts with Grace.
Pluto also has an intro but I don't know it off hand. Lego3400: The Sage of Time 02:38, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe it shouldn't be a statistic, as such, but in the senshi section? Like...
- Rei is able to transform into Sailor Mars. Her powers are mainly fire-based, and all are offensive attacks. She typically introduces herself with the phrase "In the name of Mars, I will chastise you." As a priestess, she possesses a certain amount of psychic ability...
- Or else, it's simply fancruft. :S Maybe we should put on the English versions page about the different translations of Sailor Moon's speech? "I will right wrongs and triumph over Evil, and that means you!" - SM Uncensored reckoned that the version used could be used as a litmus test as to how well-dubbed the episode was. - Malkinann 07:15, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'm Useing the Subtitled anime as a source here! Lego3400: The Sage of Time 16:32, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well that works too.... Lego3400: The Sage of Time 11:41, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
- Jupiter and Venus also have intro lines as well as Saturn and Pluto. ^^;; but the thing about intro lines is that they vary a little from manga to anime to dub and they also sometimes change over the course of the series... do you really want to get into ALL FIVE versions of whatever their intro lines were...? And then go over Tuxedo Mask, and all the enemies too (many of them had intro lines as well) --;; Might be difficult to handle. To me, that seems like a fan page thing which was the complaint we received about the MOTD. I'm not against it, but I am concerned that we might get scolded for it... --Hitsuji Kinno 01:43, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Maybe we should stick them in Wikiquotes? wikiquotes Sailor Moon - it's looking rather sad atm. - Malkinann 04:00, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

- She said it a couple of times to the enemies. I can't remember which episodes. They were situations where it was just her and the villain. I think in the Sailor V anime episode where she confronted Nephrite was one occasion. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 10:10, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

- "Take a cold shower and reflect"? oi. It's not showering, it's dousing. Usually, having to do with ritual. Think warrior or Monk meditating under a waterfall. A better translation is: "Douse yourself in water, and repent" or "Repent in the flow of water" See: Dousing --Kunzite 17:03, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- ...Which is obviously what she was refering to, it's just that the above way was the way it was translated in subtitles. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 08:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Aura Color?

Note about stats
A bot was run through the Ami Mizuno page by Malkinann. It complained that the stats were too much like trivia, which is highly frowned upon. If you want to add a stat, I would think it would be best to refrain until we resolve the issue of it looking like trivia and how to get around it. Also anything that's listed needs original text support from the manga or anime or musical books or PGSM official books in such a way that it *enhances* the understanding of who the character is. i.e. WP: Context. If the stats get longer and they get more like trivia we run the risk of never being able to attain a feature or even GA status!! Seriously, new stats or getting the article featured? Which is more important in the scheme of wikipedia? I think spreading our sailor moon disease getting the articles featured so other fans can appreciate them is more important. Ami Mizuno, from what I judge is *almost* to GA level! It just needs a little more referencing for missing parts and a request for copy editing! --Hitsuji Kinno 20:48, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'd be happy to do a copy-edit. ^^ --Masamage 21:07, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Just a note about toy boxes
I looked through collector's sites, and when I couldn't find a scan, I requested from three people if they could scan the back of the box and post it on their website. =P I know it's unconventional to actually ask someone to post a reference, but I ran out of options. And I know they are official. (I've seen them in my hands before). Those websites are: http://www.qserenity.com/doll/amerdolls.htm http://www.bobagirl.com/anime/sailormoon/irwin.html http://www.kanegon.com/sm_can.htm
Anyhow... don't be afraid to ask someone for a scan... Seriously, at this rate we'll have to pull out the Irwin stats, and I know how much fuss that's going to cause. So if anyone can join in in e-mailing people to request for scans, I welcome it. --Hitsuji Kinno 20:48, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I got the scans from Bobagirl. I asked for them, so here they are: http://www.bobagirl.com/lj/anime/bandaimercury.jpg
http://www.bobagirl.com/lj/anime/bandaimars.jpg http://www.bobagirl.com/lj/anime/bandaijupiter.jpg http://www.bobagirl.com/lj/anime/bandaimoon.jpg http://www.bobagirl.com/lj/anime/bandaivenus.jpg http://www.bobagirl.com/lj/anime/bandaiberyl.jpg
Incidentally Beryl is included, however, she can't find references for the Outers. Does anyone know which Bandai set this was which listed those things? ^_^ I believe this is the last hard-to-find reference we have. I can reference the attacks and first appearance of the items from the manga and anime...--Hitsuji Kinno 00:17, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Uranus, Neptue and Pluto Star Power
Why was that used, it need to be stated. Rattleman merged them with their Planet power sections saying they used it most of the time. I reverted it (Plutos took a bit more work since i had edited her article with out noticeing) Aren't they just errors in the dub (We all know the dub was full of them!) Lego3400: The Sage of Time 18:21, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Uranus/Neptune/Pluto Star Power are used MOST of the time in the dub. At random times, it will use Planet Power. I was mistaken with Pluto; apparently she never uses Planet Power in the dub. They all use Planet Power in the dub S movie. Here are some links from SMU: Uranus/Neptune Star Power Uranus/Neptune Planet Power Pluto Star Power S Movie -- RattleMan 07:03, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Image:Black_Lady.JPG Can someone flag this image for deletion. Someone put it under the one we have already. (I removed it of course ;) Its a nice picture but we don't need it
- I did it before noticing it was already flagged. Oh well. --Masamage 03:31, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- We should probably invite that Good Samaritan to join WP:SM. ;) - Malkinann 05:21, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Sailor Team Variations section - Original Research?
This is primarily in connection to Ami, cos we want to get her a GA sticker, but the 'Variations' section in all the Sailor Team's articles could easily be seen as Original Research. Don't be discouraged from writing them, but try and name episodes, manga acts, PGSM Acts etc. where a variant character trait can be seen. We'll have to fret about if we need further sources later on. Maybe The Oracle? It's so annoying - at uni I'd just write, for example, 'in the original episode, her name was Mizuno, in the DiC dub her name was probably Anderson. (same context etc.) In the Cloverway dub, in this episode, she's called Mizuno again. Q.E.D., darnit!' but I'm not sure if that's too much synthesis for wikipedia. Any thoughts on this? (And why does the title of this sound like a Sailor Moon episode title??? :P)- Malkinann 05:21, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I wrote most of those, so I can tell you for a fact they're OR. :) Due to Hitsuji's work in making each version clearly delineated from the others throughout the article, they may soon no longer be needed at all. I'd just as soon make them obsolete and toast them altogether.
- I can just hear Mitsuishi Kotono... "Malkinann's had enough! The Variations sections die for OR" --Masamage 06:15, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I'd be sorely tempted to just cite as much as we can in them and leave them be - I've found them reasonably interesting and useful. I feel we should try and keep them if we can. - Malkinann 03:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Image:Sailor Senshi2.png
AYA! Problem! I Just got this message Thanks for uploading Image:Sailor Senshi2.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all. Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Main page
These threads make me seriously squirmy. If we get any of these articles featured, do we really want them on the main page? --Masamage 07:00, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- God.. me too, me too... --Hitsuji Kinno 02:24, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
- I know from when the Megatokyo article went FA that getting on the main page is something you ask for and schedule in advance, so when the time comes, we can see what consensus says about opting out. ^^;; --Masamage 03:57, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
