Big Five v Big Four

Please note that I have nominated Big Five Pageants for deletion as I don't think Tourism Queen Int'l is anywhere near as notable as the other four - no matter what Global Beauties might think. New Template: Countries in the Miss World

I have just created a new template for the participation of the countries at the Miss World, i am working in the Venezuela in the Miss World, taken the information from Pageantopolis. If you have more information on other countries, just click on the countries in that template, and edit the pages.

Collaboration?

Are any participants interested in collaborating to really improve an article and get it to meet Wiki standards rather than some of the more fan-ish things some of them degenerate into? Feel free to post your ideas on whether this sounds like a good idea and what article you think is deserving of some attention... I choose to nominate Miss Universe. Now that it has been decided that no fair use crowning images whatsoever can be used for articles... we need to start hunting for ways to get free ones! I don't think this is possible for the National pageants (for obvious reasons) but I might try to contact people going to the USA state pageants this year to see if they'd volunteer to take photos and upload them to the Commons.

There is also a constant need for more free illustrative photos... I've had some successes with Flickr but the proportion is still low.

Does anyone have any ideas as to either of these?

I just thought I'd add... after I posted this I decided to try emailing flickr users to see whether they might release images under the GFDL to be posted on the Commons... and I've already had a hit! There are now images for Courtney Barnas and Tiffany Martin :) I figure that if I email 20 more people and only get one or two more replies, at least that's better than nothing! Miss Mississippi USA 1990 Stephanie Teneyck Miss All Nations 1990

I have been a huge pageant fan since I was 10 years old. I love pageants. Intially, when I became a fan, I was frustrated on the lack of information. I am so grateful for this website. All the information is wonderful. I have updated the section of Miss Mississippi USA for Stephanie Teneyck. I simply adore her. She was so stunning and she was awesome. She did partipate in a small international pageant called Miss All Nations. Regardless that it is a small pageant, she did very well. she was 2nd runner up in Miss All Nations 1990. I reach out to you please let this be on the website. I feel it is really relevant because i want all the world to know the accomplishments Stephanie had, no matter how small the pageant was. This can be verified on the www.pageantopolis.com website and there is even a picture of Stephanie as the 2nd runner up. If you have any questions please reach out to me.
