Former FAs

[edit]

In this issue could someone add that both 'A Day in the Life' and 'A Hard Day's Night (song)' have had their FA status removed. Also, 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' is currently at WP:FAR. LuciferMorgan 23:16, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Will do re losing FA's. As this edition is likely to go out sometime after 31st Oct I think we should hold fire in on I Want to Hold Your Hand in case the matter is resolved one way or the other.LessHeard vanU 19:18, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
As concerns I Want to Hold Your Hand, you could say it's in danger of losing its FA status unless the concerns are addressed. LuciferMorgan 00:25, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, but we will need to check on the status immediately before despatch - in case we are reporting old news.LessHeard vanU 19:50, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Macca Inc.

Something for possible inclusion in this issue - [1]. LuciferMorgan 18:45, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

status check

[edit]

As usual, I can deliver this.. but I'm not seeing much content yet. who's driving? thanks... ++Lar: t/c 03:53, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm unsure who's driving this issue, though I'm not part of the Beatles Wikicommunity so I'm unsure who are the usual contributors. LuciferMorgan 20:40, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Er... I'm afraid I am likely not going to be around much these next few days. If Gordon wants the chair he, or anyone else, is welcome to it. If nothing is complete by next weekend I may be able to spare a few hours.LessHeard vanU 22:03, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We're now well into Nov and well past due. I am afraid I did not do anything. I still can deliver, but as it stands right now it's rather too sparse to deliver if you ask me... ++Lar: t/c 20:36, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
True. Concerns for this month I'd say again are inline cites as I mentioned above. Get Back (song) will be defeatured in 2/3 days, and in addition to what I mentioned above, Beatles for Sale and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band are both up for GA review and will be de-listed from GA status sometime next week. LuciferMorgan 23:10, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think anyone's driving at the moment, but I've added a few stories. Let's aim to send it out at the weekend? My additions need a copyediting; we can add some Beatles stories from the news (the "new" Beatles album, and the Macca/Mills developments), add the usual info about new articles, members etc., LuciferM can add his citations story if he likes, and that will be enough. --kingboyk 11:32, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot get on the pc at home, and I only have enough access at work to check my mail and stuff. This will be the case for the next couple of weeks. Should we hold this issue until end of November, so it will hopefully be very full and interesting. LessHeard vanU 14:15, 6 November 2006 (UTC) ps. I can't see the Christmas/New Year edition getting out in time, either.[reply]
Get Back (song) has been defeatured. Yeah I'll add the citations story. LuciferMorgan 18:29, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeesh, talk about neglect. I hadn't even edited it before today (hence it not being on my watchlist and me forgetting about it). I've added myself as Lead Editor, as someone has yet to do it and this should've been out this past weekend. I've added some of the normal trivial stuff as well as detailed the new album. Anything specific you guys had in mind for the Mills fiasco? And Lucifer, all those things you've talked about adding, go ahead and do it. I'll proofread it all later. Gordon P. Hemsley 21:11, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added the citations bit, though it may need condensing. LuciferMorgan 01:59, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ready to go?

[edit]

If no one has anything else to add, I'd say the newsletter is ready to go, especially because we have to get another one out in less than 25 days. As it stands now, I think it has my stamp of approval. If anyone adds anything, make a comment here so I know to go over it before release, which should be no later than Saturday the 11th, if we can help it. Thanks. Gordon P. Hemsley 05:04, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GPHemsley thanks for stepping up to this! One comment I had right away.... The right side is too long, it's very unbalanced sizewise. I think the issue of the month text should be the lead on the left. I'll send this out this weekend (saturday)... ++Lar: t/c 06:30, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Kingboyk had a go at alleviating that problem, but I didn't like how he moved the Issue of the Month to the bottom, which wound up making the left side too long. I chose to mix everything around, instead, giving the Issue of the Month the priority it needs, as well as making both columns relatively even. Gordon P. Hemsley 02:42, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First thing tomorrow then, out it goes. ++Lar: t/c 04:29, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
