... that models featured in the game Cover Girl Strip Poker weren't informed what the photoshoot was for, and several models weren't paid for their involvement in the game?Source: Trine Michelsen, a model in the game, stated in an interview that "It was not at all clear what it would be for, and I did it as a favor. Apperently some of the other models weren't paid at all." Kenneth Bernholm, the CEO of the parent comapny of the original publisher, in response to being asked how much the models were paid, stated that "You can ask, but you won't get an answer". [1]- ALT1:
... that Cover Girl Strip Poker has a legal disclaimer stating that the game is "Not manufactured, distributed or endorsed by any of the models appearing in the product"?Source: The back cover of the game explicitly states this,[2] and Amiga Power also mentioned the disclaimer.[3]

- Article was created within 7 days of nomination. QPQ has been completed. No pings on Earwigs and no close paraphrasing. Hooks are interesting, short enough, and cited; AGF on foreign language source in ALT0. Morgan695 (talk) 18:26, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this. I removed all the non-controversial cites from the lead. There is excessive citing in the body of the article; there shouldn't be more than three or four cites in a row. Please remove these strings of cites, or write new sentences that support individual cites. Thank you, Yoninah (talk) 10:19, 16 June 2020 (UTC)
- I've merged (per Help:Citation merging) and trimmed citations: I've merged citations I felt were important in conveying overall response, and primarily trimmed those that weren't reception-based. I've merged citations I felt were important because I feel that having three citations for "game's bad" and the same number for "game's good" isn't illustrative of the full extent of negative reviews of the game. - @Waxworker: thank you! I just have one question about the ALT0 hook. The first clause, that models weren't informed, was only said by one model. Do you have a source that other models also claimed this? Otherwise ALT0 needs to be tweaked. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 18:56, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
- Apologies for the delay, I'm in the midst of moving, and any further correspondence may be subject to similar delay. While it's true that only one model, Trine Michelsen, said that models weren't paid, I feel that Bernholm's response as well as the questionable legal disclaimer gives further credence to her claim. I feel that while it's a single source for this claim, it's a strong source and I would be adverse to changing the hook because women get taken advantage of in the sex industry all the time, and this incident was another example of this. - @Waxworker: I understand your viewpoint, but we need to have solid verification for the hooks we promote to the main page. Should we write:

- How about
"... that a model featured in the game Cover Girl Strip Poker stated that she wasn't informed what the photoshoot was for, and that several models weren't paid for their involvement in the game?"Waxworker (talk) 18:15, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Waxworker: that's fine. But please also be aware that the powers that be don't want to see contractions on the main page. Can we spell out
wasn't
andweren't
, or would you like to phrase it a different way? Yoninah (talk) 19:07, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- Spelling out 'wasn't' and 'weren't' is fine. Is this good: "... that a model featured in the game Cover Girl Strip Poker stated that she was not informed what the photoshoot was for, and that several models were not paid for their involvement in the game?" Waxworker (talk) 19:22, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks! Hook is under 200 char. Restoring tick per Morgan695's review. Yoninah (talk) 20:03, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
