Goro has leaping Stomp in MK
[edit]In case anyone doesn't know, Goro had his leaping stomp move in the first game. proof: In the Special Attack section for Goro's sprite sheet, his leaping stomp sprites are shown http://mkw.mortalkombatonline.com/mk1/goro/sprites/ I'll try to find video's, but if you really want proof, play the game. trust me, he has it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.59.134.163 (talk • contribs)

Game Boy and MK: Annihilation references
[edit]I just did a bunch of editing and reorganizing to this article, but I don't know what to do about the mention of Goro's appearance in the Game Boy version of MK1 (The seventh bullet under Trivia). I simply can't make heads or tails out of the entire paragraph at all, so I'm leaving it alone for now since I don't know what it's actually trying to say, and therefore can't actually rewrite it in a more comprehensible manner.
Also, where in MK: Annihilation does it say that Sheeva is Goro's wife? I don't recall that ever being stated in the movie. MarphyBlack 10:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
It says in the article that Goro was defeated in his tenth title defense by Liu Kang, however it says in Shao Khan's article that he was defeated by Johnny Cage, which is also the case in the movie. Just thought someone should confirm and change that to avoid confusion.--Gusiman 00:19, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Notice of intent to move this page
[edit]At the moment I write this, there is a name collision between this article, the name of a town in Italy, & a woreda or district in Ethiopia, as well as a colloquial form of "goroawase". In coming days, there will be an article on another woreda (different Regions) & a town in Ethiopia. The best thing to do would be to move this article to Goro (Mortal Kombat) (or a similar name) & make this article into a disambiguation page. If I don't see an objection here in the next few days, I'll assume that silence is consent & perform the act; if I do, I'll be happy to discuss the matter. -- llywrch 22:49, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- Go for it. My rule of thumb is when the disambig. header reaches three terms, it's time for a page move. Since you seem to be more familiar with the other subjects (at least the woreda(s?)), I'll let you move it and create the disambig. page, since I don't really know enough about them to make a good dab. And yes, Goro (Mortal Kombat) is the best page to move to. Virogtheconq 01:30, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
What about MK Trilogy?
[edit]The article states that since Goro's defeat in the first Mortal Kombat he hadn't been seen until Mortal Kombat 4.But Goro appears in Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Is the article wrong or is there a different explanation?Dimts 13:14, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Goro's appearance in MKT is not canon to the storyline, meaning he was simply included in the character roster for completion reasons (His bio in the game is identical to the original MK's and he has no ending). The same goes for Kintaro's appearance in MKT. MarphyBlack 19:57, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- He has no bio in MKT. Dmr2hn1 21:09 01.05.2007
- What the hell does that matter? This isn't "Canonical-pedia". This page is about FACTS and it is a FACT that he was in MKT, so the information on the page is WRONG and should be changed. The OP is 100% correct. This is NOT a Mortal Kombat fan page, but a database of FACTS. Please correct this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.160.141.104 (talk) 05:07, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
- Done. I guess it was like that because the section is read completely like story section with no focus on out-of-universe facts.Tintor2 (talk) 15:37, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Alignment?
[edit]Why is alignment included in this page? It seems liek a DnD term, being used in a non DnD characters article. The text in the article also seems to contradict the "Evil" alignment in his info box.
Basically, I think the whole section should be removed as unnecesary.
- Character bio cards released by Midway have a heading called "Alignment." Look at Reptile's page to see an example. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.59.100.206 (talk) 07:59, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Kang didnt defeat goro
[edit]I replaced the section where it said kang defeated goro.It was actually johnny cage.please see the movie for evidence.Thankyou.-Vmrgrsergr 05:53, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- The movies are not canon. See Goro's MK4 bio. MarphyBlack 06:37, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
What is goro?
[edit]The characters in mortal kombat were real people scanned in. What was goro? was he computer graphic or a man with plastic limbs or a clay figure? or just was was he? And that baraka thing, what was that?
- I know that the actor who played Baraka wore a mask. I don't know what to make of Goro.194.171.56.2 14:31, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Check the character development section. --jh51681 23:54, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Cover1 2.jpg
[edit]Image:Cover1 2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Goro's son alive?
[edit]I remember watching the animated tv series once and it showed Goro fighting his son I think and he let him fall to his death so that he could become the prince of the Shokan. I might have the characters mixed up because it's been a long time but shouldn't that be included if a source can be found for it. Is the animated series considered canon or would this need to go in a different subsection than Plot Summary or background? Darthjarek (talk) 10:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
More like "based off of the Reptile page which is a SA"
[edit]This stands for Shitty Article (and not Sturmabteilung), and I'll tell you why:
- Repeatedly the same internal links, including MANY redirects (some were just recently corrected, curiously after my cleanup was reverted, but only some of them)
- No external links whatsover (still) and no Gameplay section too
- Gameplay-related notes in Reception section
- And more.
I fixed all of this, rewrote for a better flow, also expanded where it is important (who created him, when he became playable, the Nintendo Power Award '93, this kind of stuff). Now it's more like a "Good Article" alright.
Reptile's page is also pretty bad. (Or rather used to be, because I fixed it too.) And what is not bad? "My" Mileena and Kitana articles, for example (I also fixed Shao Kahn but it was only a clean-up like here, maybe more because he used to have just no reception whatsoever and I had it research and write all of it). Or maybe I just have higher standards, being a perfectionist, but no, you can't change it. --Asperchu (talk) 18:34, 5 November 2010 (UTC)
