Stuff

[edit]

Hey, I've been watching your progress on User:97198/sandbox, and I must say it is looking very good. :) Anyways, I was wondering if you know of any old archives for end of year ratings? I've been trying to find ratings for the '90s for the Friends article, but alas, I can't find any. Anything (reliable) would be appreciated, as I've had to add some references that are preposterously unreliable. :( Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 14:43, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the ref, I added it in. Only three days? Lol. I'm just surprised that you were able to find so much info about the indie film. Speaking of films, did you catch Double Jeopardy on tv? I've seen it before, but still love it every time I see it. But, the critics beg to differ. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 16:19, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, haven't seen that either. I was actually up last night watching Scream 3; I love horror films, and thought I should check out what all the fuss is/was about. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:29, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I heard (read on RT) that 23 is really bad. What did you think of it? Horror is probably my favorite genre, though I never get scared. I probably just like the violence and shock tactics they use. :P Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:53, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol! I actually read the synopsis online a while ago, and it seemed pretty ridiculous. I find most horror films are pretty silly, though there are some great ones out there. The Descent was really good, have you seen it? (Since you thought 23 was scary, I'm guessing no. ;)) Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:22, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I Am Legend? Really? I found it pretty boring! lol. They're making a prequel (if you noticed), though I hope it's more interesting than the first. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:34, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol! :P I'm going to have dinner now; be back in a tic. :) Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:42, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Back! Are you watching Deal or no Deal? I usually hate game shows, but this contestant is so lucky! Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:54, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I totally agree!! I have no idea why Channel 7 (and probably audiences) are obsessed with him. Personally, I hate game shows, Deal or no Deal and The Rich List are sooo boring; and O'Keefe is probably the last straw for me. Speaking of which, have you seen that drunk video of him? Lol, what a fool :P Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 07:20, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I probably feel even more embarrassed admitting this, but I occasionally like to watch GG online! :P I guess the story lines are what pull me back every time (I think the writers are great), and the characters are pretty interesting. What are you up to? I've seen up to s2, e14, but haven't had the time to watch the newest one. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 12:40, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just saw It's Alive! (Dexter). Nice job, and it looks great! I'll probably start working on another season 1 episode soon. And season 2 is coming on Ten in Feb! Yay! Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 12:47, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Something I noticed about GG's second season is that the first four episodes are like a mini-season within a season. Beginning with the one you just saw (ep5), the series returns to its usual format. I really dislike watching TV here in Aus, mainly because we're so behind the US, and even the fast-tracked shows are regularly shelved, i.e. Fringe. :( And I also regularly get spoiled while reading Kristen's blog and Aussielo's blog (they have the best TV scoop), so that just makes things worse. Thus, my resorting to illegal online streaming. :D Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 12:56, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I can't wait for season 2. Season 1, I loved; hopefully season 2 fulfills my expectations. Anyways, I heard that the s3 finale is very controversial, and the general plot sound very intriguing. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:03, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see those; thanks! lol. (naught me :P) Using criticisms to promote their own show was very smart, and I guess the target audience isn't complaining. :) Btw, has it ever struck you that the show has never really explored the Serena/Nate relationship? I always thought it would be a core relationship, but I'm not complaining - Nate/Vannesa 4 Life! lol (I sound like a true fangirl *sob*) Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:23, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just glad I actually haven't read Twilight, now that would be really awkward. ;) Lol. What did you think of the movie? I haven't seen it, just wondering. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:34, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol! I can imagine all the squealing. Apparently (from all those very reliable sources on MSN Today), he is constantly stalked by them. I can't access my e-mail right now (strangely), I'll check in a sec. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:49, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Got the e-mail. I added you, did you get the message? (I'm appearing offline, just say hi and I'll reply). Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:58, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thought you'd like to know! Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 04:13, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thanks for the barnstar! Much appreciated. :) Speaking of tireless contributions, well done on your recent haul of GA noms; I'm struggling to keep up! :P Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:51, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

True. Once school starts again, I probably won't be on as much. :( Oh, and nice work on "Get Me a Lawyer". I've never seen the series, any good? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:57, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, I'll check it out. Btw, did you check out the link above? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:02, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Strange, it works perfectly for me. Anyways, did you see Federer's match? And Serena's was just as amazing, that Danish player was really good. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:16, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Well, I guess I'm stumped for new conversation topics. :P Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 06:32, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I see you're off on holiday! I guess that means you're here now, right? Anyways, I'm leaving in a few days, so I'll talk to you in about two weeks. :) P.S., like the new sig? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 15:29, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, your calculations are right; I'm leaving for the airport tonight. I have been watching most of the games (I'm guessing you saw Federer vs. Safin?), although I have also been quite busy. Hopefully you had a great time in Melbourne, I know I did here (bar the horribly hot weather!!!). Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 01:46, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, sorry now for my late reply; I am busy multitasking, i.e. watching Federer vs. Roddick (OMG, Fed got a break!), and working on another article on my sandbox. Sounds like you saw some great matches, most of which I watched on TV in Sydney. ;) Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:00, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol! Anyways, I guess you're starting school again too. :( I have so much homework still not done; I'd better get started soon... it's just too hot! :S Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:46, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yes (Federer was smashing Roddick and it is excruciatingly hot). Anyways, it's late, so I'd better go to bed... and watch Saw 5!!!! :P Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 11:11, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
**sob, sob, sob** Believe me, if I was a crying person I would've cried more than Federer! I can't believe he lost, and to underwear-grabbing Nadal. :( Oh well, there's always next year... Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 06:50, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It was a great match, but Federer losing kinda spoiled it (gosh, people really shouldn't be so obsessed with winning all the time!). I guess Nadal winning isn't the end of the world, but honestly, his underwear issues really get to me, to the point that I dislike watching him play. Hopefully we see Federer training even harder from now on, and not continuing his downward spiral. :S Anyways, I guess even Nadal agrees with us!. Should you be reviewing Simpsons GAs?

[edit]

Is that a conflict of interest? If not, it's cool. I just know that the professional wrestling project doesn't allow its member to review its articles. - Peregrine Fisher (talk) (contribs) 07:34, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, haven't commented in ages (sorry). Anyways, have you been watching the updates on the fires? Luckily, I'm not near them, but that doesn't make it any less sad (for me). Here's hoping the death count doesn't rise too much higher. :S Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:15, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only a handful of items outstanding at Talk:Rocket Science (film)/GA1:

  • I've just reviewed the lead, and there are a couple of points to adddress.
  • You need to format the ref to an archived page correctly. C'mon, I've provided instructions. If I do it, you won't remember, and will get stuck next time a cited page goes offline. If you do it, you will remember. --Philcha (talk) 10:47, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think you did it right but {{cite web}} messes up on archiveurl= - fixed by changing to {{citation}}, see Talk:Rocket Science (film)/GA1.
Congratulations, it's a pass, see updates at Talk:Rocket Science (film)/GA1. Many thanks for your prompt responses. Even checking the refs was fun (almost). -Philcha (talk) 14:06, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

Hey, haven't commented here in ages... (sorry). Anyways, as you might have seen, I have been trying to go on a wikibreak, but have failed miserably. :S Which I guess is also a good thing. :) So, what have you been up to? Both on wiki and off... Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 11:11, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, thanks for the update. :) (1) Well, the Dexter thing in my sandbox is just to store handy links, so I don't go searching for ones I already found, but lost track of (this happens to me often). I really hate production sections, or rather writing them, because, most often, they're the hardest info to find. And for a show like Dexter, it really is even harder. If I do find production info for an episode, then I'll most likely write that episode's article. (2) Thanks; I didn't think there would be that much info, but Music (and you) managed to find a lot of production info, so that was really good. I was left with the job of writing the plot and reception, the latter of which I love to write, and the previous which I wrote while half-asleep, so your copyedit was much appreciated... and it's not like you didn't do much yourself. :) I guess Music is hoping to take the episode to FAC, but I don't really mind if it stays as GA. I kinda gave up on getting articles to FA after my first one, because I figured my prose quality really isn't "of professional standard", and in the amount of time I would take to write one, or get someone to copyedit the article for me, I could write a couple of GAs instead. Still, I'd be open to a collaboration on an FA. (3) Well, I downloaded a couple of horror movies and have been watching them, e.g. Quarantine (2008 film) and The Strangers, though neither was actually scary. Actually, I am watching Changeling (film) right now, (I'm half way through, and stopped to write this comment) and am really loving it. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 13:16, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just finished watching, and it was amazing. Definitely recommend it. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 14:49, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I'll try to find them online. ;) I was actually surprised by the mixed critical reaction to "Changeling"; I can't possibly see why someone would give it a negative review. Anyways, have you seen Pan's Labyrinth? It was released a while ago, but it's fantastic. And can you believe it received a 22 minute standing ovation at Cannes? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 04:59, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I just watched episode three, which was pretty good. I though about watching Dexter online, like I do with Lost, but decided not to. Hopefully the season gets better, because so far, it's kinda boring; but only kinda. ;) Didn't season three finish on Showtime last year, or is there an Australian version? (Not too experienced on this sort of stuff.) Also, have you been watching Lost? I'm guessing you have, judging by some of your edits. The last two episodes were kinda boring (which aired in the US), but it looks like things will definitely improve. Some people don't really like this season, but I am really loving it. Darlton are two of the best writers on tv, IMO. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:18, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I've always been a huge fan of Lost, so I would probably love it even if it sucked. The narrative on-island is definitely much more interesting than the off-island storylines. Episodes 3 and 5 are really good; so I would definitely recommend you watching ep 3. The new characters are fast becoming my favourite characters, mainly because they aren't annoying yet and we haven't been watching them do stupid things for five seasons. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 06:12, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
When comparing her to the first season, yeah, she does look a lot older. And did you hear the rumours a couple days back that she was leaving Lost? Although, I don't really think anyone actually believed it was true. I'm not a fan of Bollywood and didn't want to see this movie at all, until I realized that it is not in fact a Bollywood film. After the Oscar win (or eight), I actually do want to see it. ;) My friend has a copy, so I'll probably just get it off him. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 06:43, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey again. You might have seen this, but I thought I'd just leave a message. I have decided to leave Wikipedia for a while, mainly to focus on my studies. I don't know when I'll be back, possibly from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, but I might appear every now and then reverting vandalism to my watched pages. Anyways, I hope to talk to you soon, and hopefully I'll catch you on MSN. :) Talk to you soon, (hopefully), Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 10:18, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'll try not to be gone too long, and I will probably remain semi-active, ie. checking in once a week and saying hi. The only problem then is that by the time I come back fully, most of my articles will probably be all changed and full of vandalism!!! Oh well... Dexter FL

[edit]

Hi, I'm working on the Dexter episode list (diff), but I haven't seen the second and third seasons yet. Upon seeing your great contribs to various Dexter episodes I was hoping you would do the honours of writing an introduction, and maybe take a look at my edits. Thanks.--Music26/11 17:56, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great! Let me know when you're finished.--Music26/11 16:35, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, you did a great job. Sorry about the season two thing, I don't mean to steal any work from you or anything, but I realized that the sections would look a bit better if they were expanded with a bit of ratings/cast info. The image has been removed, you're right, the image is problably still under copyright. Thanks for your help, do you think there's anything left we should do before listing this for FLC?--Music26/11 11:31, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, thanks for removing that category from my sandbox.--Music26/11 11:55, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, first of all, I'm terribly sorry, but I forgot to inform you that the article is already at FLC. Sorry, it was rude of me. Second of all, could you help out with satisfying the reviewers, they would like the summaries to be expanded to at least 100-200 per summary, and since I haven't seen the second and third season yet, it would be fantastic if you would help out. It would be great, but don't feel obligated or anything, again my apologies.--Music26/11 12:26, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The article has not passed it's FLC, I'll work on S1 this weekend, and renominate the article when possible again. Thanks for your help.--Music26/11 15:29, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Happy (almost) Holidays!

[edit]

Hey!!! The holidays are almost here and I couldn't be happier. lol. Anyways, how are things going with you? I see your editing has slowed a bit, but that's understandable. Just saw your edits to "Us Against the World" and I was wondering what you think of it. Not bad, eh? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:25, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's all good. I was trying to stop editing, but then I went crazy and nominated two FL's (and one more to come). Lol! I instead decided to continue editing, but only edit very few times a day, which I stuck to most of the time. Luckily, I'm not a person who actually gets stressed (I have no idea how it feels), so things are going fine. Schoolwork is really piling up, but I'm managing. ;) Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:47, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. :) Hopefully this FLC won't take too long; the other one managed to get to the bottom of the list and stay there for a week. Speaking of FLC's, do you want to take a quick peek? Also, I find I'm becoming a mini-procrastinator/semi-procrastinator (?) myself, so I'm trying to kill the habit in the bud. ;) Oh, and I almost forgot...... I SAW TWILIGHT! (Major lols!) I actually thought it was okay, and the cast was pretty good. I kinda like the weird vibe the movie had, although I didn't really like the end, as the whole evil guy thing was pretty predictable. Hopefully the next one is good, as I'm kinda looking forward to it. :P Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:50, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I can see why most people (who hadn't read the books) didn't like it, but it was passable for me. I thought the two leads were well cast, and they actually did have some chemistry. Well, I won't delay you, so good luck on your assignment. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:13, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Well, I'll leave you to it. ;) Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:49, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Delighted! And I'll start on your comments soon. Btw, how were your assignments? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:57, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in terms of school work, I am quite busy. Regarding your comments (thanks again, by the way),
  1. If you could find it, an season average of viewers would work well in the lead, the season average is already there, if that's what you're asking; and
  2. Can you find more specific (even a month?) details of when the season aired in Australia?, I'll try, but I really should remember myself (I watched the season on TV!)

Oh, so I guess your holidays start in a few weeks? Well, my mother's cousin came over a few weeks ago from Paraguay (to live here), and he's getting married in three weeks. So, we're all getting ready for that, and I have to go shopping for a suit. :S I'm not really the wedding-loving type, but it should be fun (and the food's usually good! :P). Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:16, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I had forgotten about that. Hopefully it's a mud cake (LOL!), but the chances of that are probably slim. ;) Have you got anything planned? (If not, I might send an invitation card! :P) Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:32, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lucky! Who needs cake when you have the Gold Coast? Actually, my family, relatives and I went there last year, and we had the best time. Are you going just with your family, and are you staying at a hotel? Also, any theme parks? We went to Wet 'n' Wild and Dreamworld, and they're both great.... sure beat Luna Park anyday! Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 12:08, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh well, that's the thing: I love big rollercoasters! I love (or am addicted to) that weird feeling you get in your stomach, especially when you go on the Giant Drop, that makes you tingle. Know what I mean? I've been to Canada Wonderland, and that, by far, has some of the best rollercoasters I've seen. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 12:19, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Huh, so we're even?! 'Night. :) Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 12:45, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! :) I had been meaning to work on the pilot article for a while, and it seemed like a good time to get rid of another thing on my "to-do" list. It's a shame you missed the pilot of Fringe because I think it is a really good show. I'd say about the first 6 or 7 seven episodes were really repetitive and a bit boring, but the strange things going on kept me intrigued. The series has really started to pick up (action-wise and storyline-wise), but I have stopped watching for now. I still love the show, but maybe I'll have a mini-marathon next holidays! :) LOL, I told you Lost was good. I liked the first two, but I agree that the latter episodes are much better. I'm watching online (so I'm fully up to date); do you know exactly which episode you watched last? (I don't want to ruin everything.) The show has gone into a completely different direction now (which I kinda love), and it's so weird for me when I compare the storylines to what was happening in the first season. It's like comparing two different shows. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:54, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, well you've got some great episodes ahead of you. I definitely enjoy this season much more than the previous ones, and the complexity is the best part for me. I cannot wait for the season finale, "The Incident"! Even the title gives me the creeps. I'm already trying to figure out which two characters are dying this season (one major character, and one major-ish). Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 06:39, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Kristen Dos Santos and Michael Ausiello keep me updated with this sort of stuff (two random TV columnists). I though I knew who would die, but my theory was discredited, so know I have no idea as to who is going to die. I really liked Charlotte, and it's a shame she died. I hope Faraday's not the next to go, I have enjoyed the addition of him and Miles and Frank. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:07, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, sorry. I didn't mean for it to sound like that! :P I don't know why fans didn't like her as much; I thought she was really interesting and I loved her relationship with Faraday (rather than all the flipping back and forth with Jate, Jacket, Suliet and Skate!). But still, major lols for "she became more bearable as she started to die", hahahaha. I haven't really even noticed Claire's absence, but I can't wait for her to come back, mainly because I want to see how they explain why she was MIA. Although I hope they don't handle like Michael (that was a terrible storyline). Oh, and I actually the Aussie accent, thank you very much. LOL! Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:23, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I so agree. The accent becomes "Aussie times 10" on TV, and becomes too extreme. That love square/rectangle/quadrilateral/rhombus has gone for far too long, but I still kinda like it. In the end though, I want Jate and Suliet to result. They seem like the best couples. I'm also really intrigued by Richard, and his centric episode should be amazing! Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:39, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:47, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I guess you're returning anytime now... how was it? I bet it was great, although, I guess school starts as soon as you return, right? Anyways, I am going to a wedding tonight... and THERE'S CAKE! lol. :P Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 03:39, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The wedding was nice, although the cake was disappointing (full of raisins, ugh). Were the queues for the rides really long? Last time we went (just before school holidays started), the lines were a maximum of 2 minutes, which was really great. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 02:31, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, you were lucky. The same thing happened to me on the giant drop in Dreamworld, only, while we where up there, lightning had struck. Once we got off, no one else was allowed on, and the line was quite long. My family friends went to Dreamworld last year (not with us), and they waited for four different rides for about an hour each, and each broke down as soon as they were about to go on! LOL! Though, they complained and got to go directly to the front of the queues for four other rides, so that was somewhat lucky. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 02:55, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No actually... we started last week! Sydney and Melbourne are usually similar in their holiday times, so I'm not sure why it was so different this time. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:30, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just noticed your edit. Have you seen the film? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 04:42, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lol. My friend gave it to me, along with a couple of other films, and I decided to watch it after seeing its Tomatometer. I really liked it and thought it was a great movie, although the twist did really shock me (I had no idea about the movie's plot before watching). Who knew a kid's film could make you so sad! LOL! Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 14:22, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
LOL! I thought Hide and Seek was weird and boring, but definitely not scary! :P I saw the beginning of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and it was so weird that I turned the television off; although, I might be up for it now that at least one person liked it.... and a whole cult. ;) I haven't watched a horror movie in like a month, but now that you mention it, I'm gonna download another! Thanks! Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 07:53, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good! Anyways, since you liked "Us Against the World", I thought I'd tell you about "Zipper" and "Diamonds", which both leaked a while back. I'm not too sure what kind of music you're into, but I really love Ciara's Fantasy Ride, although it's probably not for everyone. Anything you're listening to yourself? Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 08:35, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, lol, I guess we're exact opposites in that sense. Let me guess, you have all of Twilight's soundtrack? LOL. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 06:03, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Really? I didn't see that coming... even I have a few! lol. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 09:26, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Laughlin

[edit]

Thank you for your recent contribution to the Tom Laughlin article. I think I addressed most of the concerns you had with the article and if you possibly had the time I'd like you to look over it again. I've added a lot of new information and new sources. I do have one concern though. Although he is and always will be best known to the public at large as an actor, as you can tell by the article acting and filmmaking are just a very small part of his resume and all of his best-known films are extremely political. It is very hard to keep his involvement in psychology, politics, etc out of discussion of his film career, so my question is this: is it appropriate for the article to be included in the WP:WPBIOA&E? Thanks again for your contribution to the article and for taking the time to read this. BillyJack193 (talk) 23:38, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA Sweeps invitation

[edit]

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are a member of the GA WikiProject. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Skins

[edit]

Just a friendly tip: because Skins episodes are named after their centric characters, it might be wise to instead put them at "X (Skins episode)" or even "X (Skins series 3 episode)" so people aren't confused. Oh, and can you help find reception sources for Cassie Ainsworth? I'm useless at doing it for anything over than episodes. Sceptre (talk) 04:10, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incidentally, IIRC, one million viewers is a great audience for digital television. The only other series to get comparable ratings in the UK are Doctor Who Confidential and Torchwood. Sceptre (talk) 04:14, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another Cinderella Story

[edit]

I saw your review, and won't argue over most of it. I will argue vociferously over the plot: that is the one of the best plot summaries around. The purpose of a plot summary is not to retell the story: it is to provide sufficient context to allow the reviews and real-world material to be understood. That summary does so concisely and perfectly.—Kww(talk) 13:34, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A classic example of why guidelines should never be ignored, but should be viewed as somewhat flexible. There are very few feature films that can have their plot described adequately in a 103 words. This is one.—Kww(talk) 13:56, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't know if you are aware, but you are listed as a co-nominator of the above FLC. There are several issues regarding the episode summaries and the sources. If you can address some or all of these comments, that would be great, as the FLC is eligible to be closed. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:58, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your AfD opinion

[edit]

I notice back in November 2007 you nominated List of songs in The O.C. at AfD. This week I created a page on Music on The O.C. (warning 141kb). It's (in my opinion) fairly good and the 6 former mix pages redirect here. However, it is large and when I was discussing nominating it for good/featured status Dabomb87 suggested that the list of songs be split off. How would you feel about that, seeing as that is effectively what was deleted, except it has lots of references inc. third party to assert notability. Your opinion would be very helpful to me. are you

still working on Dexter episodes? I was thinking of having a topic on Dexter episodes, but the greatest impediment is having some articles on season premieres and finals, such as "The British Invasion", "Do You Take Dexter Morgan?" and "Living the Dream".
