Copyright Violation - Charlie Zeleny Wikipedia Page
[edit]Hey there Bythebooklibrary, the 4 books referenced from links on Amazon.com mention the subject Charlie Zeleny and actually public domain information referenced in the original Wikipedia page article that has been up for over 5 years on the subject Charlie Zeleny. It is common knowledge that the subject is in fact a pro drummer, music director, producer and solo artist. The Charlie Zeleny Wikipedia page has been up for over 5 years (last major update 2011 prior to 2016) and looks like it was actually referenced in the Encyclopedia of Bohemian and Czech-American Biography, Volume 1 by Miloslav Rechcigl Jr. which was released just recently on November 10th, 2016.
Here are multiple sources stating that Charlie Zeleny is an American drummer, music director, producer and solo artist:
- http://www.futurecomposer.com/2010/12/01/musician-profile-charlie-zeleny/
- https://www.discogs.com/artist/690830-Charlie-Zeleny
- http://www.protectionracket.com/artists/item/charlie-zeleny
- http://pearldrum.com/artists/drumset-artists/charlie-zeleny
Please remove the incorrect copyright claim when you get a chance. Also, please let me know if I need to change the reference to Amazon's books in any way to avoid this issue in the future. Thank you very much. 100.35.194.25 (talk) 14:53, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
- please read the notice at the top of the copyright violation notice. Only a copyright clerk admin or OTRS agent may remove the notice. More than just the first line has been copied. It is best to let the investigators suss it out. Please note that it says not to restore or edit blanked content until the issue is resolved. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 15:13, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
Hey Bythebooklibrary, most of the information in the article is common knowledge sourced from over 62 reference sources so far. Can you point me to any other sections that appear to be copies of information readily available on the subject across the internet? Also, how does one connect to the investigators/copyright clerk or OTRS agents to unlock the article's incorrect copyright claim and tweak the article that has been up for 5 years without issue? Just trying to update this particular article with all the correct sources referenced (last major update appeared to be in 2011). 'Thank you very much Bythebooklibrary. 100.35.194.25 (talk) 15:32, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Bythebooklibrary. I've also added the template {{Di-no permission}} to all the image file pages. The files will be automatically deleted on 24 December 2016 if evidence of permission is not filed. In cases like this it's often faster and more straightforward than taking them individually to deletion discussions. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 09:21, 17 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Just so you know, none of the sources even remotely get close to establishing the subjects as passing GNG. The entire articles are just plot cruft with no encyclopedic value right now.★Trekker (talk) 17:45, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- I recommend you reread the notability guidelines because none of the sources you added are good enough to claim independent notability. Also, learn to sighn your comments and do not add citations in the section headers.★Trekker (talk) 17:55, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]That source that I removed is just a plain bad source, it doesn't support notability in the slightest and it honestly makes the article worse. If the character has so much coverage you should be able to replace it easily. It's not some "gutting" to try to support my argument, I have already made my arguemnt clear. The only thing I don't like so far is you trying to paint me as some harasser because I used one ugly word once and corrected a bunch of your mistakes and tired to explain to you some stuff you need to improve.★Trekker (talk) 18:46, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- Treker Stay off my talk page. Stop personally attacking me. You are causing way too much disruption over your disappointment that a PROD you placed got removed. You are taking it out on me and the encylopedia, Stop or I will request that an admin block you. Stay away from my talk page and me. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 18:52, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

This person *trekker has been personally attacking me and harassing me despite 4 warnings. He continues to post here after being asked not to. He is causing disruption to me and wikipedia because I removed a PROD he placed. The insults need to stop. Please make him stop! Thank you. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 19:08, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

- Northamerica1000 can you help? Bythebooklibrary (talk) 19:26, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- Are you talking about *Treker? CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 20:22, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
- Yes. Thanks for checking @CambridgeBayWeather. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 22:38, 17 September 2017 (UTC)
CambridgeBayWeather Thanks for your help yesterday in leaving a warning on user Trekers talk page. Despite your warning he has posted today again on my talk page about revenge editing lus he filed a lengthy edit warring report against me with no diffs. [2] . Please make him stop continuing to harass me by posting on my talk page after a warning by an admin, plus now filing a rambling revenge warning at an edit warring report that contains no diffs. A few excerpts for your convenience: vandalising and disrupting the site for revenge is not ok., They will also claim that I harassed them, if the admins agree that that was what I did then I should receive a block or a harsh warning, I'm 100% sure this will turn into an edit war between me and the other editor. Plus help stop this harassment before it gets any worse. Thank you. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 17:00, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- OK the first post was not acceptable but the second about the WP:3RR is OK. If they do the first again then they will be blocked. As for the 3RR post that will need another admin to look at. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 17:09, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick action. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 17:11, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Pls consider the page of Kagojer Nouko made by me. This article is not about a musical recording but this is a notable film of Bengali which is well known and starred by famous actors of Bengal. I have put some important reference on it. It is requested to you not to delete the article since this article enrich the wikipedia. with regards. Pinakpani (talk) 08:35, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- I know it is a film. There was a technical glitch. How is the film notable? Cheers! Bythebooklibrary (talk) 08:40, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- I have updated the page. U are hereby requested to copy edit this if possible. thanx again Pinakpani (talk) 09:20, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- You must find some sources with significant coverage found in wikipedia WP:RS. I did some copyediting to try to help the article. Good luck! Contact me if you have any further questions. Cheers! Bythebooklibrary (talk) 09:34, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I'm not sure what your intention was with this edit, but the IP you mention only edited the article back in June 2016, and it looks like your edit may have taken the article back to that date. I wasn't entirely sure what you were trying to get rid of, so I've reverted it back to the version that was around yesterday, and we can take it from there.
If there was something that needed to be reverted or verified in the current version, it may be best to do it directly in the text, just to avoid jumping back so far. Cheers - SchroCat (talk) 11:40, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Not sure what happened. I just undid back to the last edit at the top of the history list for no source having been given. The edit was near the top of list not from a year ago. Possibly some sort of abberation? I did not jump back so far. Thanks for fixing it though. Cheers! Bythebooklibrary (talk) 11:52, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

There's no reason to revenge edit.

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. ★Trekker (talk) 13:59, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Apology
[edit]Please see User:*Treker/An apology to Bythebooklibrary. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Sunasuttuq 20:03, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
What possible reason did you have to restore this case so lacking in evidence it borders on vandalism and a violation of WP:NPA? It had already been read, found utterly baseless, and declined and whisked away. Courcelles (talk) 05:42, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- Not sure what you mean? This is a different case altogether. The reason is that Ssilvers and Somnabulance are supporting each others arguments in AFD'S, RFC's, and talk page debates. I have read over SPI cases with much less evidence. So you are threatening me about a personal attack for filing a different SPI with different parties with evidence and plenty of diffs? Cheers! Bythebooklibrary (talk) 05:51, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- So you have already whitewashed it. Scrubbed it away. I guess it pays to have friends in high places. Bythebooklibrary (talk) 05:55, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
Gowair
[edit]Hi! You tagged Gowair Vacation Airlines as an advert. May I ask you what part of the article exactly needs improvement? I don't see any content that differs from other airline articles style-wise. Perhaps the only part one could see as an advert is the sentence "Owned by tour operator Gowaii, it operates charter flights in Europe and offers ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) leases to other airlines", but then again, it tells who owns the company and what it does, and is also based on a reliable source. I will be happy to fix the article to make it less advert-like, but first I'd need to know what to fix. Thanks! Lentokonefani (talk) 06:58, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
