Travel Coventry

[edit]

There are photographs of 8 of the 10 types of buses on the Travel Coventry page. I have been looking for the other two double decker buses, but I have not identified them as yet. Do you know where to find them? Snowman 08:28, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed you will have difficulty - the Dennis Trident 2/Alexander ALX400 (fleet numbered 4203-4217 and 4219-4224) and the Dennis Trident 2/TransBus ALX400 (fleet numbered 4396 to 4414) are exactly identical vehicles, it's just the company name of the bodywork manufacturer which had changed between the assembly of each batch.
The Volvo B7TL/TransBus ALX400 is very similar looking bus to the above vehicle, same styling in bodywork but chassis is Volvo built (this batch are fleet numbered 4415-4424). this batch can also be uniquely identified by the four seats in front of the staircase on the upper deck offside, all the other double deckers only have two seats here. Curran1980 14:24, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I forget to add - all three batches of theses vehicles are mixed together when allocated on bus services. Routes 4, 12, 32, 33, 34, 36 are currently the best place to find them.Curran1980 14:33, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The bus type/build of these similar buses that you know about might be worth a mention on the Travel Coventry page, and then there may not be a need for extra photographs. Perhaps photos of the interiors might be informative, but it is probably more for the bus page rather than the Travel Coventry page. Have you seen Wikipedia commons - Category:Buses in Coventry? Snowman 15:20, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In the fleet table I've put the two identical batches into one (but making note that some have different name) and I've added a column so I can separate Chassis and Bodywork details. I hope you like it.Curran1980 16:35, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of bus routes in the West Midlands county

[edit]

Thank you for updating the links in the List of bus routes in the West Midlands county article following all the page moves I did. I was planning on doing it myself, as I didn't want to give anyone the job!

I made the page moves so the articles fit in more with the 300+ London bus route articles, all with lower case "r"s, to make it simpler. However, I wasn't expecting to make anyone do all the hard work of changing the links. Thanks again, Arriva436talk 21:13, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

General Hello

[edit]

Just a general hello, hope you had a good Christmas! Anyway I see you have created a route list for Warwickshire, do you have any more to add or is it clear for me to add more a bit later? Would you be interested in being involved with a UK Buses WikiProject? jenuk1985 (talk) 18:20, 26 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to see you formatting that list I put on, I just didn't fancy doing the whole list myself! I'll have a crack at some more tomorrow evening. jenuk1985 (talk) 01:23, 27 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UK Bus Routes

[edit]

I have created a quality drive similar to the operator drive, based on some of the points I have previously raised regarding bus routes in the UK. Your input and participation would be greatly welcomed! Find the page at WP:UKBRQDRIVE. Thanks! jenuk1985 (talk) 03:12, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also a quick note to say, that while it appears that I have a vendetta against bus route articles, I don't. Personally I'd love to see articles for all my local routes in Bromsgrove, its just not in the remit of Wikipedia. I'm just trying to achieve a level of consistency. jenuk1985 (talk) 03:46, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way I can message you privately, possibly to share family tree info. and apologies if this is not the correct way to contact you - I am not that familiar with wikipedia Dolphin3900 (talk) 22:27, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of West Midlands bus route 27 (Coventry)

[edit]

The article West Midlands bus route 27 (Coventry) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Evidently non-notable bus route/service. The article makes no claims to any notability and is unsourced (aprt from the National Express West Midlands homepage).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
