License tagging for Image:GURUSADAY DUTT.pdf

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:GURUSADAY DUTT.pdf. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:07, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:MrsAROTIDUTT.pdf. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:30, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:AROTI DUTT.pdf. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ricky81682 (talk) 22:45, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. One or more of the external links you added in this edit to the page Gurusaday Dutt do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Khaled Choudhury requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Vanadus (talk | contribs) 02:33, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Khaled Choudhury has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Concerns over possible conflict of interest

[edit]

Hello, Devsaday Dutt. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Gurusaday Dutt, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 13:07, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Orange Mike, could you please explain, what is the reason of this COI notice? I can not see any edit of this editor in the article you have mentioned in last 3 years! --Tito Dutta 12:02, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed the patterns of his edits to that article were disturbing, and issued a standard COI notice, in case he returned to continue the pattern. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:06, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have not followed his edits carefully, so can not understand the pattern you are talking about. If you provide details, I'll try to rewrite those sections. And this editor belongs to a rich family. There are lots of articles in Wikipedia on his relatives.
Yep, I am little bit sympathetic towards this user because 1) if you see above he tried to upload the image of Aroti Dutt multiple times but everytime it was deleted for lack of license details. But, in case he was trying to upload image of his mother and thus there is a high possibility that he owns copyright of the image he was trying to upload, but could not write well in the description page 2) for his family members' great works and contribution. --Tito Dutta 15:18, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
