DYK for Curtis Island (New Zealand)
On 28 April 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Curtis Island (New Zealand), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Curtis Island has risen by 18 metres (59 ft) during the last 200 years? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Curtis Island, New Zealand. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Curtis Island (New Zealand)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

In your edits to the article, the history section went from this to this. Quite ignoring the relocation to obscurity (since relieved) or the drastic whittling down, read that first sentence. Is that "good editing"? What other bits might need to be reexamined by yourself to get the best result? That's as far as I got before being disgusted. Shenme (talk) 01:07, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
- You mean, a paragraph of which over half was unsourced, part of it still is, and the rest of which is based on what might or might not be a reliable source? I'll go look for some sources - this one seems reliable but the snippet doesn't show the critical bit - but as far as I am concerned there are good reasons for the whittling down, especially since the "relieved" section currently is a handful of stub paragraphs. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 09:25, 28 April 2022 (UTC)

Undeletion of Page
Hey! I am just writing in regards to the deletion of the page André Fialho. I know it happened long ago but he will reach notability next week so just curious if you could bring back the page as a draft. All the best. HeinzMaster (talk) 02:51, 1 May 2022 (UTC)
- Greetings. It seems like Draft:André Fialho already exists and is considerably longer than the article I deleted, though. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 09:04, 1 May 2022 (UTC)

Photo for deletion
Hi,
You put :File:James Francis Cooke.jpg up for deletion, and I agree. When I uploaded the image, the other that you pointed out wasn't in Commons. It looks like that image may replace this one as soon as the current image is deleted? I tried to insert the commons image into the article about the James Francis Cooke, but was unable. Thank you. Jacqke (talk) 19:10, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- When there is a local file with the same name as the Commons file, you can't use the Commons file. The local file will be deleted in a few days and then the Commons file will appear in its place, only need to wait. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 20:09, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Thank you today for Lake Estancia, "about a prehistoric lake in the Estancia Valley of New Mexico, a state in the USA. Like many valleys in the western USA, changes in precipitation and evaporation patterns caused the Estancia Valley to fill with water during the last Ice Age: Lake Estancia. It is now gone but its deposits have been used to reconstruct past climates for the region." - It shared the page with Aleksey Semenenko. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:13, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
Mount Melbourne scheduled for TFA
This is to let you know that the Mount Melbourne article has been scheduled as today's featured article for July 12, 2022. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/July 12, 2022, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.
For Featured Articles promoted recently, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.
We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:04, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

Thank you today for Mount Melbourne, about a volcano in Antarctica that erupted during the last few centuries. Ongoing fumarolic activity has led to the formation of a moss- and alga-based ecosystem that survives in areas kept ice-free by volcanic heat at a locality called Cryptogam Ridge, which has thus been declared a protected area.! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:16, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
