EmbargoedSorry if I am putting this in the wrong place. I noticed you deleted an article I put up about the HR group embargoed. As there was not enough background information. Embargoed features fairly regularly in the Turkish Cypriot press, http://www.londragazete.com/popup.php/cat/19/news/11325/PageName/English_News And has recently been given backing by the Communications workers union in the UK. http://www.hri.org/news/cyprus/tcpr/2007/07-05-03.tcpr.html#10 Notable supporters include Baroness Lunford http://www.sarahludfordmep.org.uk/pages/campaigns.html Surly this would qualify for the article to be reinstated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by SolDrury (talk • contribs) 13:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting vandalism
NoteI removed your reply to my comment because my comment was supposed to be somewhere else. I wasn't challenging that particular (and useful) bit of functionality. Best, Mackensen (talk) 20:12, 12 April 2007 (UTC) Humor Barnstar for note at WT:RFA
Consultas de borrado en españolHola. El problema es que aquí no habría votación. Solo una discusión. Un saludo (Fergon en la wiki:es) Image thumbnail for A classHi, I had a Idea about the little Image Thumbnail for FA and GA class article's and I saw that you know a lot about this stuff. So I am hopeing you can Help me with my Idea. FA class has a barnstar and a GA class has a round stamp, but none for the "A" class article. I thought that there could be a little Thumbnail for class A article's like the others, this may help motivate some people to work harder to get there article form GA up closer to FA class, because I know for many people the Jump from GA to FA class is a big one that requires a lot of work and more knowledge of the subject and Wikipedia. I see so many people with the little FA and GA Thumbnail pic's, on there user page showing off how many articles they have worked on and such. they have become a little like the Barnstars people give one another, becoming a little like s bag of merit or some thing. I think Wikipedia most Valuable resource would be the people that edit it, more than just the people that edit one line of text, but the people that have passion for a subject and given the right positive reinforcement will become vary productive Wikipedians. So what I would like is to have a "Talk" about this with other Wikipeadia members who may have ideas or experence with some thing like this, Do you think you could help me out? Reason is seasonal articles are fairly important to the project, in of and as of themselves. This means all post-1950 seasons (when they have an individual article) are at least mid-class. Given that, any change to the uninteresting seasons should go to project talk, but my opinion is that they should stay at least mid-class, due to significance to WPTC (much more so than the typical low-class storm).--Nilfanion (talk) 15:48, 18 April 2007 (UTC) Hi Titoxd: I'm done copyediting the above. I did leave a few inline comments; one of my concerns was the passive sentences to the effect that "Dvorak classifications began to be employed...". They need to start with who used them, not for fact's sake but for readability. I find the article jargony, but that would need to improved by someone familiar with "convection" and storm "organization" and such. I hope this has helped your FAC bid. –Outriggr § 02:59, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
When is a talk page discussion considered current on wikipedia?I'm under the impression that as long as a discussion is still located on a talk page, and not an archive, that it is still active. Some articles get very little traffic for months at a time. Is this idea incorrect? I'd rather not have this type of conversation on wikipedia on the regular basis. It may be revealing about the people involved in the discussion, but it does distract us from contributing. Thegreatdr 06:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC) Excuse me, but where are your so-called accusations of slander? Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 07:35, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Tropical Storm Jerry (1995)The article Tropical Storm Jerry (1995) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold. It hasn't failed because it's basically a good article, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Tropical Storm Jerry (1995) for things needed to be addressed. Merzbow 03:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC) Wikimania 2007?Hi Tito, I won't be able to go to Wikimania this year - last year the conference was about 8 miles from where I was teaching, this year it's more than 8000 miles away. I don't think I can just pop out of class to go to Taiwan. The organizers would really like to have someone giving a presentation on the 1.0 project, and it seems to me that you would be the best choice - very few people know as much about the "inside" of the project. OK, so Taipei is quite a distance, but I think you'd have a great time if you can go. As for finances, I think there is a lot of financial support for people in your position, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get all of your costs covered (that's a guess, nothing more!). So PLEASE think about going! Last year it was a fantastic place to "network" - it was like a dream come true to sit down to lunch with Anthere, Delphine, Kirill, Kelson (French WP1.0) and Tomasz (Polish WP1.0) all grouped around the same table! As you can see from that list, many people traveled thousands of miles to attend, but the contacts made have proven critical for the development of the 1.0 project. Also, I haven't forgotten your request for more background stuff on the 1.0 project to blog about. I've been very busy over the last month, but this task has risen to near the top of my "to-do list." If there's a specific topic you want me to comment on, please let me know. Once we get MartinBotII working, I'd love to see a blog on that - I think it's very exciting, quite groundbreaking actually. You've done a great job so far - you write really well! Cheers, Walkerma 17:36, 24 April 2007 (UTC) Review work for Version 0.7Hi Tito, I know you're busy, but the release & subsequent press coverage of Version 0.5 is giving us some new people at the 1.0 team, including some people signing on as reviewers. As one of our few experienced reviewers still around, do you think you could help out a bit at Wikipedia:Release_Version_Nominations, and also welcome/guide our newbies? V0.7 has been in the doldrums for a long time, but this could give it the kick it needs to get going nicely - and with all the press exposure we need to make sure that it does. There's no turning back now! I'm really busy at work still, and much of my spare time is spent dealing with the PR part of things. I'd really appreciate some help, even if it's just for a few days. Thanks! Walkerma 06:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks... I keep forgetting to select the license. Grandmasterka 08:14, 27 April 2007 (UTC) Hi Titoxd. On the global warming FAR you noted the article "needs to have some sort of discussion about political and societal effects of GW." I agree with you and tried to add some myself in the last few sections; I don't think it needs a lot given all the sub-articles, but at least a nod in predictable directions. Ref formatting has also been taken care of. Do you feel it is improved wrt to 1b and 1c? Marskell 08:36, 2 May 2007 (UTC) Hola Titoxd
--Pediaknowledge 01:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC) SPATRArefI noticed that you were the author (and only editor) of the SPATRAref template. Others may be interested in commenting, and I certainly had responses to those comments that came after mine. Plus, the consistency argument is flawed. If it makes no sense to have an N-level for writing systems then we should delete all N-level boxes for writing systems. That it would be a lot of work is no argument against this. I've been overhauling philosophy of time and related pages for months, slowly doing research and making minor alterations. I'm sure many others have done long-term projects, as well. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Jimbo_deleted.png)Thanks for uploading Image:Jimbo_deleted.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MeetupHey, I wonder how much interest you think there might be in a Wikipedia meetup in Phoenix. --Spike Wilbury 21:39, 6 June 2007 (UTC) Regarding the above image, you removed the orphaned fair use deletion tag I applied. Your edit summary indicates that based on a discussion at WP:ANI that WP screenshots are considered free and not under fair use. I am unable to locate any such discussion using the search feature at ANI. As I understand it, the WP logo is not freely licensed and if included in an image, that would make the image non-free. Given the above noted image contains the logo, I tagged it for deletion. I know a number of WP screenshots were nominated by me as fair use orphans and subsenquently deleted. I would appreciate you pointing me to the discussions. Thanks.--User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 21:23, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

1.0 teamHi Tito, Sorry to see that the Tropical Cyclone article didn't make it. Sometimes I think the process can be rather arbitrary, but it's the best process we have. When I read it (or at least the first half!) I didn't see much text needing copyediting. As usual, I have a request - could you keep an eye on things over at WP:1.0 for the next week or so? I'm going away, and I'm not sure if I'll have internet access (possibly for part of the time). I'd be very grateful if you could handle any issues that arise, and keep WP:V0.7N reviews ticking over (Funpika, Ozgod & others have been helpful with these). Hopefully MartinBotII will be able to come online soon - do you know anything about the toolserver updrade? Please let me know, Walkerma 05:12, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi Tito, since we don't have Nilfanion around right now, I figure you're the next best guy to go to for infobox coding. WT:WPTC#Indian_Ocean_tropical_cyclones_-_1-minute_sustained_winds - The IMD uses 3-minute winds, we need to include this in the infobox. The categorisation at the top of the infobox for the IMD would show the storm's strength on the IMD scale (2007 North Indian Ocean cyclone season), maybe with the corresponding colour in the background? Let me know if you can do it, or if we should, as Core just suggested in IRC (and Hink just seconded) - inform him (Nilfanion) and beg him to come back from wikibreak? ;) – Chacor 02:17, 23 June 2007 (UTC) Table class? What is table class? Consolidation of powersHi Tito, I am unsure if you're questioning why I feel that a "separation of powers" is a good system for an organization like Wikipedia, or what I think have been problems with the system as is. For the latter, I actually think Essjay is a fine example. Would his deception have been so acute if he did not wear so many hats? Would it have upset so many people? The answer, I think, is no. If he had been just a bureaucrat, or just an ArbCom member, he would have been asked to step down, and we all probably would have gone back to editing. It's because he was one of the most trusted editors in the community, that it was such a fiasco. Why even put ourselves in the position of having a super-elite of most-trusted users? There are hundreds if not thousands of incredibly trustworthy editors at Wikipedia. So given there are so many trusted users, why not spread it around? A system where there are lots of checks is a stabler system. Why put all our eggs in one basket, when we have so many baskets available? --JayHenry 22:55, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
