The 1954–55 NBA season was the Hawks' ninth season of existence, their sixth season in the NBA, and the fourth and final season in Milwaukee.[1] After this season's conclusion, the Hawks would move again, this time to St. Louis, Missouri for the following season.

There would not be another NBA franchise in Milwaukee, until the Bucks began play in 1968.
