Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Workers Party of Britain. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 07:44, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
2017 Queensland election results summary
[edit]Just letting you know I reverted your new results summary at 2017 Queensland state election, as it is a very significant change and I have some questions and concerns about the new format. If you don't mind, would you be able to propose the change at Talk:2017 Queensland state election (or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian politics), and get some feedback, peer review and consensus for the new format? Thanks. --Canley (talk) 01:56, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. The numbers you are adding are unsourced. That's not acceptable in Wikipedia. You are also reverting without explanation. Bad practice. Discuss this issue on the articles' Talk pages. HiLo48 (talk) 02:01, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Speedy deletion nomination of New Communist Party of Aotearoa
[edit]Hello, MarioBayo,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, New Communist Party of Aotearoa, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!
Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Citations
[edit]Hi, thanks for your improvements to the Mustafa Al-Kadhimi article. I just wanted to let you know though that I removed the "50th" numbering you added in this edit: [1] Such numbering requires a reliable source, which I was unable to find. I see that this is the second time someone has warned you about unsourced numbering of leaders here. The numbering shown in List of prime ministers of Iraq is not a reliable source. This is a common mistake, please try to avoid it in the future though - see the information about the "order" parameter at Template:Infobox officeholder#Usage. Also, I just restored the information about him being a UK citizen, which someone else deleted today, and I added a citation. In the future it would also be helpful if you could add citations for material that may be challenged, as that's the responsibility of the editor who adds it. Thanks... --IamNotU (talk) 17:36, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Proposed deletion
[edit]The article History of rugby union matches between Argentina and Japan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Articles fails WP:NRIVALRY and WP:GNG as there is little coverage of the 'rivalry' despite both sides being Tier 1 nations. The article is just a list of match results and therefore violates WP:NOTSTATS. As per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/History of rugby union matches between England and Japan and others previously.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please note that I am not the user who created the proposal. ~RAM (talk) 11:34, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
Deletion of New South Wales Waratahs coaches page
[edit]Hi there, the page you created New South Wales Waratahs coaches has been deleted as we don't keep these sort of pages on Wikipedia. The table on the original New South Wales Waratahs is enough information required and a split page would likely violate WP:NOTSTATS. Thanks for your edits though. PKP-1930
[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas-1930 a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Communist Party of the Philippines (1930). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Image without license
[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:Logo of Country Labor.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo of Country Labor.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}}
(to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (Talk • Contribs • Owner) 07:45, 29 May 2021 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Andrew Hastie Portrait.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Andrew Hastie Portrait.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:33, 9 August 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Namibian Parliament, front facade.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Namibian Parliament, front facade.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 01:47, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Logo of the Libertarian Party of Australia.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo of the Libertarian Party of Australia.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Styles
[edit]Good afternoon, great edits on the Governor of Queensland page, I did make a couple of minor changes though. I figured I'd give you the heads up about the order of styles, for military personnel in vice regal positions, the order of styels is militray rank than 'the honourable', for example 'His Excellency General The Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove, AK, CVO, MC'. Marking edits as minor
[edit]Hi there, I've noticed that for many of your edits you mark them as minor edits when hey are, in fact, not minor edits. Adding 100s of bytes, or more than 200 bytes as you did here is not a minor edit. A minor edit is usually, for instance, fixing a grammatical error or making a small change that doesn't result in adding 100s or thousands of bytes, and that doesn't significantly alter a page. Please kindly see Help:Minor edit for what constitutes a minor edit. Thank you. AshMusique (talk) 20:36, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Mario, you are still doing this. Perhaps it's just a habit for you, but please kindly keep in mind that when adding large bytes of data to articles that it does not constitute a minor edit. A minor edit is an edit with 10bytes at most. AshMusique (talk) 13:09, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Unbh. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Matthew Guy, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Unbh (talk) 16:51, 13 May 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Stadiums Queensland
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Stadiums Queensland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/view/whole/html/speciallabel/bill-2021-054/act-2001-084. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
Pat Condren moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Pat Condren, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 13:48, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

Please stop making unexplained and unwarranted changes to that article. There is no need to use the n/a template, as far as I can see, so either explain yourself or stop making that change. – PeeJay 09:24, 23 July 2023 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo of the Southern Saints VFLW team.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Logo of the Southern Saints VFLW team.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:21, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Rob Borbidge, unknown date.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Rob Borbidge, unknown date.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:32, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:2023–24 Premiership Rugby table
[edit]A tag has been placed on Template:2023–24 Premiership Rugby table requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
There is no need for this to be in a template, all other premiership rugby articles exclude the template and this template is only used on the 2023-24 Premiership Rugby Page, also see Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2024 May 8 as this was deleted once before.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Hi MarioBayo! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at 2024–25 Premiership Rugby that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. SimplyLouis27 (talk) 23:02, 26 September 2024 (UTC)

[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Australian Christian Lobby. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. A discussion was already opened on Talk:Australian Christian Lobby before your most recent reversion. Please join in that discussion and reach consensus before trying to restore your edit. Nat Gertler (talk) 13:25, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The James Bevan Trophy in 2007.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:The James Bevan Trophy in 2007.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 02:22, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
