Re:Black Hawk questions
Well, I think we are going to go with what we have so far with the Black Hawk War articles. Meaning, your map you can set up what we currently have...for now. I am hoping to talk with Ivo soon and see what he wanted to do. He will be back, just needs to get away from the idiots that are on here (and there are A LOT). I am also taking a sort of small break for now, but I am keeping up with the new Illinois articles and whatnot.--Kranar drogin 23:42, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Presque Isle State Park
I've looked and looked for more specifics about the birds of the park and cannot find any specifics as requested. I have excluded the mention of the endangered species for now, but personally favor keeping it. I also added more to the history and habitat, don't know what else to do. Perhaps others can expand it. I guess I am done with it for now. Dincher 00:18, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- I have already combed the list and found lots of plentiful birds listed. Maybe PA DCNR is being cute when they are mentioning the endangered species or maybe I'll have to look for more resources. I added two comments at the Presque Isle Talk page. Very busy IRL today. -- Dincher (talk) 20:56, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
I was chasing all kinds of geese I have never heard of and forgotten what they were. Lots of different sandpipers too. Wild Goose Chase!! Ha-ha-ha-ha!!! The map looks good. Cheers.Dincher (talk) 04:22, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Locator maps
I'll need a bit of free time to gather the information you requested. Unfortunately, I'm a bit stretched thin at the moment. Let me get back to you in a day or two. Sorry for the delay! Kaldari (talk) 22:47, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
A Question
Hello, I was wondering if you would be able to make a county map for me. It would be for Frederick County, Virginia and mostly just for the town of Stephens City, Virginia (of course it could be used throughout the county) as it is the town I am working on. I would like to use it for a Geography section on the town and have noticed the awesome one you did for Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. If this is possible, please let me know. I will be glad to pay if necessary. Thanks and Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 08:04, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hello again :) Only Stephens City and Middletown are towns, the rest are called "Unincorporated Communities". Now, what is weird, is Winchester, which it is an "Independent City" and it's own county and county seat, it is also the county seat of Frederick County...weird, I know :)
- On the far bottom of the Stephens City page is the county template and that will give you all the names of the Towns and Unincorporated Communities in Frederick County. Again, many thanks for creating this for me. I greatly appericate it. Take Care and Happy (early) Thanksgiving...NeutralHomer T:C 10:51, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Are you still watching this situation? It came to my attention during the FAR of stuttering. We tried to improve the article during FAR, but the needs were too great, and the article was defeatured, although Slp1 (talk · contribs) continues to chip away at it. Now that the FAR has closed, one old user, and several new IPs, have re-appeared to revert stuttering to the pre-FAR version. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 02:38, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- What a very nice message :-) If you're willing to help out (I don't know much about COI either), can you read two sections up on my talk page (User talk:SandyGeorgia#Stuttering) and read the Stuttering FAR? Slp1 is knowledgeable in this area, and able to highlight the issues well. If Athaenara is able to help, that's great. Which FAC are you working on (I've fallen behind on FAC)? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:13, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks very much for your message and your help with this. Just knowing that other people are watching and helping a bit makes all the difference. I had to give up on another article once because I couldn't persuade anybody else to take an interest, but as long as I know that it isn't just me out there I will plug away at the articles slowly (and hopefully surely)! --Slp1 (talk) 03:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)
Hey there
Hey Ruhr, just dropping in to say hello, saw your message on Kranar's page about the war, if you check what I wrote on his page you will see that I am not yet ready to return and may, in fact, never be. Though your continued contributions to those important articles are still appreciated by me, and undoubtedly, countless throngs who are eager to soak information like sponges. Regardless, I wanted to wish you (a now late) Happy Thanksgiving. IvoShandor (talk) 12:46, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Supergirl (Kara Zor-El)
i believe the deadline is up soon and I am no where near getting the article up to code, however I wanted to thank you for reviewing it. I plan on getting it to GA and FA someday, at least this gives me a clear indication of what needs to be done. Thankyou for your time. Bookkeeperoftheoccult (talk) 05:05, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Market Street Bridge
I have expanded the Market Street Bridge article. Do you see a DYK? Also could you check the marketstreetbridge.net link. It won't work for me here at work. Is that link okay for an External Link? It doesn't seem to be commercial or a blog to me, but I am not how this all works on wiki. I am sure I can dig up some pictures of bridge number six. Dincher (talk) 15:05, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. The nomination is in. I put it down for articles created on Nov. 21 and conominated Gilliganzeemo. Is the 21st okay or should I move it to the 25th? Dincher (talk) 21:15, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Guess who has been added as an author for the nomination of this article? I'll give you a clue, it's the German fish dude! Dincher 22:01, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

For beyond excellent work, in which your several weeks of editing brought the Presque Isle State Park article to Featured Article status. You did an amazing job! Be proud of yourself! Your input
What would you do to Battle of Bad Axe if you were going to take it straight to FA? (If you have the time to input of course.) IvoShandor (talk) 01:24, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Elk Knob State Park
I created Elk Knob State Park one of NC's newest state parks tonight and nominated it for DYK. Could you give it a look and look at the hook too, please? I am sure that there are too many or not enough commas and some misspelled words. Thanks for the PA geology link I added to my sandbox. Latest Simpsons wiki reference, Sideshow Bob cursed it for being some sort of behemoth, I don't remember the exact wording. Dincher (talk) 02:16, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- Just killing time and comparing other list of state parks. The clickable map at List of Florida state parks needs lots of TLC unless most of their parks are in the Atlantic Ocean. (Just in case you wanted even more work to do) Dincher (talk) 02:35, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- The FL state parks must be an at work computer problem, I'll look when I get home. Thanks for the commas. We don't really do commas in second grade and they have always confused me. Sorry about Ivo. Dincher (talk) 02:57, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Frederick County, VA Map
That is perfect! I love it just the way it is! Many, many thanks! :) Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 19:26, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- I have already added it to the Stephens City page. Would it be possible to add one thing, though? Make a copy of the Frederick County map and color in the town limits of Stephens City (like red or blue...whichever you like) so it would put emphasis on the town? If this is possible that's cool, if not that's cool too. Again, many thanks! Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 20:19, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Spiffier triple crown, new awards available
Hi, I've been sprucing up the triple crown awards. Here's the new version of the imperial triple crown jewels you've already earned. Feel free to replace your old one with this if you like the new version better. I've also introduced two new triple crown awards for editors who've done a lot of triple crown work: the Napoleonic and Alexander the Great edition awards. If you're active in a WikiProject, check out the new offer for custom WikiProject triple crowns. I'll make those upon request if five or more editors qualify. See User:Durova/Triple crown winner's circle for more information. Thanks for your hard work, and cheers! DurovaCharge! 22:19, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
President of the U nited States in Congress Assembled
Fine, keep your errors in history, I give-up. God forbid Wiki readers readers are educated that Hancock was not only President of the Continental Congress but President of the United States under its 1st US Constitution. As for Independence Hall, do you know why the government of the United States abandoned it as the seat of government? Do you have a clue? I bet you don't. I dare not add that to your precious fluff page on the Hall. For you, however, in 1783 the military mutinied and surrounded Independence Hall holding Elias Boudinot (President of the United States) hostage along with the entire government of the United States. The President called out the Pennsylvania militia to free them but they backed the mutineers and refused to show. It was future President of the United States, Artur St. Clair, who came to the rescue and finally freed them in negotiations. They vacated Independence Hall and resumed the seat of government in Nassau Hall Princeton never to return again. Now how does one tell this story or the FACT that 10 Presidents of the United States existed before George Washington without citing a source? There are so many errors in Wiki on the founding period it is ridiculous. So I start with the small stuff like acknowledging John Hancock for holding two Presidencies and cite a source to wake people up who may actually browse their precious Hancock county or Independence Hall that he held the two offices. You call it vandalism. I call it righting history and giving a great man his due as a founder of a nation that borne your right to censor readers of a county named after him that hHancock was once President of the United States in Congress Assembled. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Damslerset (talk • contribs) 08:23, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- FYI, 97.97.197.9 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) is adding the John Hancock book link to a number of articles. And I thought we already had an article on John Hancock that explains who he is, and I think it already explains that he was the president of the Continental Congress. I didn't think we had to have that information (including the link that sells a book) in every article that has anything to do with Hancock. It sounds like someone's trying to make money selling a book. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 17:05, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Apologies
Please see Talk:Space opera in Scientology scripture. I just wanted to apologize for not getting the article up to GA status and implementing your very good suggestions, but I underestimated the amount of work the article needs at the present time. I will most likely get to it at some point, but right now I'm focused on some other things that are closer and easier for me to get to WP:FA status. I just wanted to thank you for the good GA review you gave, and to let you know that your suggestions will of course remain on the talk page and are valued and will be used in the future. Sorry to disappoint. Yours, Cirt 02:14, 2 December 2007 (UTC).

Singletary Lake
My mind is kind of numb now, so I am seeking advice, again, on a hool. Singletary Lake State Park and Singletary Lake are both up and running. I think that the pics are great. I am more excited about them, but could you cook up a hook or two, if you have the time. If not I will ponder them tomorrow. Take it easy. Good night and Good luck. Dincher 04:30, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the hooks. I went with the first one. I liked the RDA one but it isn't clear (right now) if it was really an RDA. I have looked at the nom stuff. I will help you with the PA articles that are orphaned once you have a list to go by. Dincher (talk) 21:36, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- One of the reasons that I declined the nom for admin is that I don't like to answer questions in my spare time. I answer them all day long and I mean all day long at school and at work. Your answers look pretty good so far. I guess you don't tire from answering questions like I do. Have fun. Dincher (talk) 02:40, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
St Kilda map
The Gaelic issue is difficult. The truth is that the original map-makers just invented English spellings for the same sounds e.g Stac Lee = Stac Liath. Ordnance Survey are now relenting and in some cases going back to the originals. However 'Stac Lee' is how the object is spelled in English sources and as you suggest, having everything in Gaelic is going to cover the map. I'd say the map is fine as it is, although adding (Hiort) would do no harm. I've just seen your comment at Peer review. There's probably room for Gleann Mòr (it's south east of the wide bay on the north-west of Hirta). If your enthusiasm stretches that far you could produce a Gaelic version (Hiort, Stac Liath, Stac an Àrmainn, Stac Leibhinis are the variants, Soay and Boreray being in the original). Citations
It's not the wikilink that's the citation, it's the book itself--or the game, or the video: That's the source where the claim can be verified. While it's obviously preferable to have full citations with publication info, it's not at all obvious to me that it's preferable to have a "citation needed" tag indicating where such an expanded citation should go when the actual verifiable source is obvious.
More generally, I think the tendency to add a tag indicating where work needs to be done as opposed to actually doing the work is a very problematic one for Wikipedia. There's no article that couldn't be improved, yet it's not clear to me how pointing that out benefits the reader--or the editor; anyone who's actually going to be able to clean up an article doesn't need to be told it needs clean up.
I do appreciate your adding at least some of the improved citations rather than just putting the tags back. The irony here is that the removal of the tags was more effective in actually provoking improvement of the article than the placement of the tags in the first place. Nareek (talk) 14:13, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for co-nominating two candidates at WP:LOTD with User:Dincher. You have only addressed comments on one of the articles so far. - I addressed the wikilink. I read some about the county question. According to my understanding a 5th class county doesn't mean much other than it fitting into a certain population range. Am I correct? Could you address this here. [1] I am signing off for the night and thanks for the congrats. Mrs. Dincher took the pic, she has a good eye for that kind of stuff. Admin tools
Greetings, Ruhrfisch. I was reading your RFA, and I noticed the following answer to question #1:
- Starting small, I would use the ability to check if an article is being watched or not, and add unwatched municipality articles in Ohio and Pennsylvania to my watchlist.
FYI, admins cannot see whether an article is watched or not. I'm sure you'll make a great admin, but I wanted to clear up this possible misconception so you're not too disappointed when your new shiny set of tools doesn't include this feature. ;-) All the best, – Quadell (talk) (random) 04:40, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- Eh, I wouldn't worry with it. The fact that no one else has mentioned it means (a) people aren't paying very close attention to your statements, (b) others are equally confused about what admin tools provide, or (c) other people are more polite than me, and didn't want to mention it. :-) So I wouldn't bother to strike it. By the way, this has come up before as a potential tool, but it never really went anywhere. I get the impression that it would be a difficult ability for the developers to implement, and some people think it would be too dangerous to implement anyway. (Maybe there are privacy concerns?)
- Anyway, I look forward to having another hard-working admin on duty. Remember to use your powers only for good, never for evil. ;-) All the best, – Quadell (talk) (random) 12:01, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, there is a way to get a list of unwatched pages. It's at Special:Unwatchedpages, and it's listed under the admin-only section of Special:Specialpages. Apparently, it wasn't hard for the developers to implement, and it wasn't a privacy concern since there are no individual users involved. It has to be one of the most obscure admin tools out there. --Elkman (Elkspeak) 13:19, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

- The pic looks very familiar. I was looking to add it to the info box for the main article but could not. I too didn't know which one to switch it with. I think I know the stretch of road where you took it. Headed towards town just before the rock quarry right? I am sure you've seen the expansion taking place at Trough Creek State Park. - I just looked into editing the infobox and got scared. Too much code for me that I just don't understand. I agree. There is too little info for more pics. I was guessing that the sign was for the quarry, the reservoir was my second guess. Dincher (talk) 02:55, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
Lots of good info that I missed when I created it last October. Dincher (talk) 02:27, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations on your successful request for adminship. I am glad you passed, and you are welcome for the support. For information on using your new tools, see the school for new admins; you will find it very useful. Good luck! Acalamari 21:53, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Ditto about the congratulations. I am glad that my silly brainstorm inspired you so creatively: I loved the little green fish with the mop, and felt a vicarious thrill :-) Swim free, green fish, and do your best in the still and turbulent waters to come. --Slp1 (talk) 02:35, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

PA state parks, again
Ryerson Station
Could you email Ryerson Station and ask if the lake is still or was drained? The email is ryersonstationsp@state.pa.us. I would but want to do something about it while Ryerson is on my mind and I can't email from work and will be here until my carriage turns back into a pumpkin. The GNIS work is going along pretty well. I added my groundhog page to Dan's geobox page and vice versa to make updating both easier. The bio's definetly need a date for point of reference. I still need to work on Black Mo but can't access the birds link from here. Happy December 17th!Dincher (talk) 03:22, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for checking on Ryerson. Could you ask them if the website is going to be updated? I would like to reference it in the article. Does an email from an official work as a reference? Dincher (talk) 17:24, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Black Moshannon
I have added what I can add to Black Moshannon State Park. You had mentioned having notes on it from Cupper's? book. I am not in a hurry to get it to GA review and will wait until or if you can get pics of it. I will also look on flickr for more. I really don't want to do what I did a Pettigrew State Park and add pics of animals and plants that are found at the park but not actually pics of plants and animals at the park. Know what I mean? Hope all is well. Working until midnight again. Oh yeah, I've been running the peer review on lots of articles, just to kill time. It usually takes away 600 to 1000 of something, exactly what I am not sure of. Is this good, bad or indifferent? Dincher (talk) 02:25, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing the spelling errors. And thanks in advance for sending the Cupper stuff. I guess I'll keeping clearing off empty spaces in aricles using the peer review. If it is a problem for somebody I imagine that I will hear about it. Dincher (talk) 03:49, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the CCC refs. The text is way too small for me to read and I can't tweak it at work. I will add it to my list of things to do at home. Having fun being an admin? I've read the conversations about the pages that are not being watched. Hopefully you'll help make it a better resource for others to use. I see no reason why it should be limited to admins. Dincher (talk) 03:56, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for more sources! I have a question. As an admin can you access bots? The bot that added the infoboxes to Lycoming County is the bot I'd like you to use if you can. CapitalR has it. He ran it all throughout the US and was going to exclude PA. I asked him to add it to Lycoming County and he did it, then I asked for the other municipalities in PA to be run through it and I haven't heard back. I have the info on the places that need infoboxes sorted out at User:Dincher/Woodchuck. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciatated. Thanks, Dinch Dincher (talk) 04:52, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Image copyrights
I'm working on one of the PA articles languishing in my userspace, and I'd like to scan and add an image to it. The photograph in question was taken "around 1900" and printed on a postcard, presumably about that time. I don't have an original postcard, but I have a reproduction of the image in a book published 2002. As I understand it, simple reproduction doesn't affect copyright, so I could scan the image, duly credited, and upload it as PD-US. Does that seem correct to you? I don't have much experience with image copyrights, and I don't want to do the reproducers an injustice by uploading it. Choess (talk) 22:19, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Do you have access to the original material for reference #42 in the White Deer Hole Creek article? There is a typo in the title "Alvira: an explosve ghost town" (missing 'i' in explosive), but I cannot locate an online source to check if the typo is in the original Williamsport Sun-Gazette article or is in error.

Hirta
Dear Ruhrfisch - a Merry Xmas to you and all the Fisches. As you may have seen I am still purging my Xmas excesses in the FAC sauna. A contributing editor asks "Is there any chance of getting a map of Hirta itself, showing some of the summits mentioned, and the village itself? This isn't absolutely necessary, since you do identify Village Bay, and hence implicitly the location of the village." I said I would ask, and I have sir. I trust you are enjoying your administrative perquisites to the full. Ben MacDuiTalk/Walk 10:05, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
The four highest peaks are Conachair, Oiseval, Mullach Mòr and Mullach Bi. Image deletion
Have you checked your Commons page? Some IP address (24.165.124.148) has listed two images for deletion: your map of Allen County and my picture in Bluffton, a village in the county. Mine is listed without explanation, while the reason for deleting yours is "wierd". Nyttend (talk) 20:50, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

hi ruhrfisch,
i have a question regarding admin rules. i noticed in recent edits dispute, user:anupam contacted two individuals here and here. According to the canvassing rules, contacting two usernames who on record are being opposed to an issue could constitute canvassing. Admin user:balloonman noted that it does here Should I and where can one report canvassing? Luckyowu (talk) 03:25, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I reran the script per a request on my talk page and here are the results:
The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.
- Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
- Vague terms of size often are unnecessary and redundant - “some”, “a variety/number/majority of”, “several”, “a few”, “many”, “any”, and “all”. For example, “All pigs are pink, so we thought of a number of ways to turn them green.”
- Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work. See also User:Tony1/How to satisfy Criterion 1a.[?]
You may wish to browse through User:AndyZ/Suggestions for further ideas.
Thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 18:44, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
- I agree that the use of vague terms of size should be discouraged but completely discarding them is almost impossible. I have kept the use of these vague terms to the least possible number(three to four times in the whole article).
- Redundancy/copy-editing I do not know how to go about this(though you have given some good exercises here)because I cannot find any discrepancies in the article(and a third person maybe able to point them out to me), so how do I ask a seasoned editor to edit it??
Thank you once again :D, Binarymoron (talk) 19:21, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
ok I'll get to it right away thanks,Binarymoron (talk) 06:21, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Does the bot count "vague terms of size" that are within quotes too? If this is the case I have a good logic that can solve this problem, I am not familiar with programing languages other than C++ or VB so I dont know the coding in Perl or Python. Basically make the bot count all the double quotes before the word is encountered, if the number of counts(of double quotes) is even then the word is outside the qoutes and should be considered but if the number of counts is odd then the word is within the quotes and should be ignored.
And thanks for your suggestions I have made the changes and have requested for copyediting :D
Binarymoron (talk) 12:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
your welcome and thank you for going through the article, I read your suggestions but won't be able to edit the article for the next 4 months (I'm at college and the net conection here is very poor) Binarymoron (talk) 11:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Seems I wrote too early, they have improved the net connection and I am able to edit the article finally from here :)
- I don't understand this: "The CGI was produced by FUNimation Entertainment and broadcasted in Japan by Kids Station, beginning January 6, 2003, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 12 p.m. (JST). The show also premiered between 10:50 p.m. and 23:30 p.m.(JST) on December 31, 2002.[4]" I would list the premier first, then the usual air times. Also 10:50 p.m. makes sense, but 23:30 pm does not - either "between 10:50 and 11:30 p.m." or "between 22:50 and 23:30". I think most casual readers would understand the p.m. version better.
I don't either, the reference site just says premiered ->date and time (probably refering to a promotional screening?? or a private screening(highly improbable)). and broadcasted on -> network, date, time, day(public airing on TV). But I have changed the order of the sentence and the timings to 12-hours system as you suggested.
- The characters table refers to episode number, but the list of episodes does so by title and "Volume" number. The table of characters seems a bit much - could there just be a list of major characters and then the details on the minor ones could be in the episode summaries?
I too felt the table to be a bad addition (but couldn't think of anything else). If I do what you suggest the character section will contain only two characters with a one line summary of each :(
anyother alternatives? Maybe covert it to a list similar to the episodes? I have changed Episodes to Volumes.
- You might want to find a featured article or good article on an animated series and use it as a model for the article.
I have been using one, named Excel Saga Binarymoron (talk) 11:51, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Ahh...yes, that should do it!! You have been really helpful thank you, Binarymoron (talk) 16:17, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
I was wondering if a stub-list could be created where I could transfer the table and in the main article write a paragraph or two about the important characters?? Binarymoron (talk) 16:30, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
How would you rate this list as?? Binarymoron (talk) 17:35, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for rating the list. I transferred the list to a new page(as you have seen) and have written a summary of the main characters in the original article. How is it now? Is this article capable of passing a GA? Binarymoron (talk) 17:32, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
Small note
I really don't like creating stubby articles just to fill out redlinks. I used to do this because people asked me to, but I have found that none of those articles has yet been expanded since I created them. I have concluded from this very unscientific trial that stubs discourage editors from creating thorough articles more than redlinks. I personally would also rather create a decent "start" article. Just so you know I won't be creating an article on Breda. :) Awadewit | talk 18:40, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Ernest Shackleton GA Review
Hi Ruhrfisch,
Thanks for your in depth and detailed review. We have addressed the issues which you pointed out. Hopefully everything is satisfactory! Further, Mrs. Chippy is referenced...hehe... Lazulilasher (talk) 20:47, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Ernest
Thanks for the helpful review, which pushed us to fix a fair number of things that had slipped through. I read three of Huntford's books a couple of years ago and fell in love with the polar expeditions. Lazulilasher and others had done most of the work on Ernest before I appeared on the scene. Now I'm not sure I want to stop. I found an even better map, :Image:ShackletonEnduranceCarte.png, in the Commons this evening that shows all the comings and goings of Endurance and Aurora. It's in French, and converting it to English would give me an excuse to learn some rudimentary map-making skills. I don't know French, but Lazulilasher is fluent; perhaps we will continue our collaboration. In any case, thanks again for your spot-on advice and wise counsel. Finetooth (talk) 04:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Nittany Furnace
What do you think of Image:Bellefonte_Modern_Furnaces_map.png? Should I make the lettering bigger? Choess (talk) 19:56, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I wouldn't worry about the furnace site. Nittany Furnace was re-used by Titan Metal, and there may even be a factory there now, so there's probably little to see. I'll work on the map again later. Choess (talk) 20:38, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've uploaded a new version. Take a look now. Choess (talk) 21:31, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Map added. There's not really much to see on PennPilot; I think Titan pretty well built over the site for their own foundry or whatever they had. I'm going to hold off on the enlargements for now and notify the GA reviewer. Thanks for your advice. Choess (talk) 22:28, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
